@AnimaSeverem Vergil was 19 in DMC 3, so he didn't have a woman to have sex with because sex is not Vergil's #1 priority. Vergil would have to be between 12 and 17 yrs old in order to conceive Nero. And the DMC 3 manga takes place a year before DMC 3, which makes Vergil 18.

Also the DMC 4 novel is NOT canon because there's no sequel to DMC 4 yet to verify if its true or not if Nero is indeed Vergil's son. He might be sum defective Sparda clone for all we know.

It's ironic that Dan called Johnny his son, since the new DMC4 novel, Deadly Fortune, in Japan says that Nero is indeed Vergil's son. Don't believe me? Go to IGN's DMC forums.

Wait I thought that Nero was part demon but the game never said how much and he's a decendent of sparta. Like he had sparta blood but you don't know were on the family tree he is. Oh and I think in the game it points out that Dante (being half blood) was more valuable than Nero who had ... less? (or something like that) But either way Vergil =/= Nero's dad. But you know... Dante has slept with a lot of women... (lol jk)

@2tailedcat I mean that Capcom wanted to introduce a new main character to the storyline when DMC made its debut on the next gen consoles, so they invented Nero.

@2tailedcat In order to explain his existence and importance to the DMC universe, they had to make him a descendant of Sparda somehow. Nero needed to have a demon of the Sparda family to be his father. Dante was out of the question (imagine the fangirl screams of doom if they made Dante a father!), so they picked Vergil instead, who is conveniently absent/dead for the time being.

Vergil is my fave as well - I hope they bring him back for DMC5...i heard rumours that it's already in the works and that Vergil is gonna be in it, but it hasn't been confirmed officially. These are all just rumours spread by "insiders" so far, but maybe there's some hope left that Vergil is making a reappearance. :)

And also nero can destroy a pillar with a flick of his sword, I dont think capcom was woried about realism so It doesnt matter what proof about dates u hav they clearly wanted people to believe he was his son. I mean how else do u explain white hair, blue eyes and the ability to resurrect a sword that jus happened to be vergils?

@HiredDemonkiller82 I think its because Vergils spirit is in Neros arm, thats how hes able to do all those things and is why nelo angelo apears behind him when he uses vevil triger. Im not saying your wrong i just dont and wont believe it till i see some evedence myself IF it is true.

@Ferrinas1 Alright it took me a while but ere it is! This novel (the link) confirms he is vergil's son, he sustained a demonic injury to his right arm a couple of months before dmc4 hence the sling and it talks about how he came to be in the order.

However, the decision was made not to, which could set up a good story for the future. I argued that it was cheesy, so we'll see what happens". I've always been interested in both Johnny Young Bosch & Daniel Southworth voice, I even though of an anime series that both of them should voice act in, ''Code Geass''.

Think about it, Johnny Young Bosch should play as Lelouch & Daniel Southworth should play as Suzuka.
