  • this 1 is better than that shlt xperia x8.

xperia x8 not multitouch spice is multitouch

    xperia x8 ram is bullshlt

so i recommend u all buy this one instead of x8 :D

    x8 = rm450 / 500

    spice= 350/400

  • With spice 410 now out, the choice is clear.

Robert Lichota, Robert Lichota, Robert Lichota

  • is this phone better than SE Xperia X8 ???

  • is this a malaysian phone?

  • the advanced version of this game is here... youtube.com/watch?v=M5ccPV4jnP0..... but only for s60v5 not for android lol

  • what abt nokia n97 and videocon v7500..... spice mi300 picture quality is 3.1 mp and videocon has 5 mp camera.... dunno abt the quality... i like nokia mobiles....

  • CSL is the best malaysian mobile phone brand,it very cheap but top performance and mi 300 now using android 2.1make it even faster.

  • @therealindiangeek good to see the game running so smoothly on the MI 300. I had pretty much set my mind on this phone till I saw the LG Optimus one P500.... So I'm back to square one again!

Have u used the LG Optimus one yet?? I do not mind forking out the extra 2k or so if Im gettin a much better phone. What do u reckon??

  • @Thomasnigga We've had little hands-on time with the LG Optimus P500 and so can't really comment much on it. But the fact that it has 512 MB RAM (something that only high-end Android phones such as the Samsung Galaxy S, the Google Nexus S, Google Nexus One have) is a HUGE bargain for us. We still can't wrap our heads around the fact that this budget 12k phone has that much RAM. And the fact that it is preloaded with Android 2.2 (Froyo) and would be upgraded to Android 2.3 makes the deal sweeter

  • @therealindiangeek Yes the promise of gingerbread on this phone really makes it a good investment.... If u could just tell me how the games run (like raging thunder 2), and whats the music quality like... that would really help me out...

    Thanks again!!

  • hello indiegeek...I want a phone for my dad and he is in 50's and wants a cell for email etc. I donno a good andriod phone under 15K...this Spice might be a good deal but I read review on techtree that call quality is not good...wat do u say...? also will my old man will be able to use this cell comfortably...the touch pad etc....?

  • @abksharma If you're still not convinced about Spice's hardware quality (it still is very good value for money at Rs. 9990/-) and since your budget is slightly higher, we would encourage you to look at either the LG Optimus One P500 (Android 2.2, upgradeable to 2.3; 512 MB of RAM) or the Motorola Zeppelin Lite XT5 (5 MP camera) which may be better, with similar features. The Sony Ericsson Xperia X8 is a VERY good buy, but it's 3" screen maybe too small for an older person.

  • @therealindiangeek thanx for such a big reply I am sure of your expertise..andk I thin it will help many people. I have short-listed HTC wildfire, mi300, LG optimus, Moto quech zeppelin. by preference.

  • @abksharma Thanks for stopping by our video, abksharma. First of all, we're very pleased to hear that you want to buy a decent smartphone for your dad - it's something that many folks overlook these days. :-)

With regard to the Spice Mi-300, and its call quality, we've not had any issues till now. Contrary to popular belief, the phone picks up range where an HTC Tattoo could not (2 floors below ground floor) and as long as it has range, call quality has been fine. If you're still not (contd.)..

  • @therealindiangeek Hey touchscreen is not that popular with the older generation, why not gift him a blackberry ?

  • @suryakumars Hey, even the older generation can rock the touchscreen if they're open to it. Whoever it is, I suggest that you definitely get them some hands-on time with the phone, so that they can get a feel of the phone, and see if they can really like using it

  • In ur games folder or something, i can see tat white background! can it be removed.. or can we install themes so tat the background is better instead of the cheap white colour background? please reply! and also, is this phone worth the money one invests in it?

  • @kaushik51094 Thank you for your comment, Kaushik.

The white background you see is inside an App which allows us to create several custom-folders. We doubt if you can change the white background inside the folders of this App... If you don't like the white background, we suggest just keeping the shortcuts to your favourite games on one of the five homescreens itself.

Is the Spice Mi-300 worth Rs. 9990/- ? Yes. Our editor, Dan, who has bought this mobile phone has not regretted it even once :)

  • Just about any low-end android phone can run that game, android is an super OS which doesn't really need that much punch behind it. I am sure this thing can't run Asphalt 5, since only high-end devices can do it BUT an LG GT 540 IS able to run asphalt 5 by using an mod..

This sure is an nice phone but i'm not from india so this is also the first time I heard about it XD

  • @tuk1maar Thanks for the info. Asphalt 5 isn't available in the Indian Android Market, so we're unable to test. :-)

  • @tuk1maar sadly htc hero and htc wildfire were not able to run the game properly.....

  • @hell1972 Thank you for the update!

  • dude which theme is that i do not have that one....

how did u got that theme...???

  • @aki25rulz It's not a theme. I've simply customised my homescreen with a lot of widgets, shortcuts and wallpapers.

Here are the Apps I've used:

    1. The Weather widget is built-in

    2. The Wallpapers are from an App called "Backgrounds"

    3. The Launcher icon, which can contain another set of App icons inside it, is called "Speed Dial Folder"

Just go ahead and search the Android Market for Apps you want - it's fun. :)
