There is no doubt RAFI is the best ever (No.1 to No.10) is Rafi only. But to all me dear friends who wrote comment below I want to make them understand that in the show sonu nigam is singing is a different kind of music having only one instrument, Any song looks WOW when there is Tabla. drum and DHOLAK are used as TAAL/Rythm, but here the case is different, If Rafi has sung this song it would also sounded more or less same due to only one instrument, SONU is great singer of today's time

Although Sonu to some extent did justice to Muhammad Rafi Saheb's songs on other occasions,but during this concert,he was struggling hard and lagging far behind.As an example check this song.The voice is shaking and trembling drastically.

Abe aur gaaya to ek tamaacha dunga !! Waapas sun Rafi sa'ab ko jaake. I think one of the reasons could be that the recording is running at a faster tempo than what he might have actually sung at. Because Sonu is generally good at singing. I have also seen the chhote ustaad performance of his for the same song. That was decent.

Sonu Nigam will have to be born 10 times consecutively to be one Rafi Saab. In his early days, Sonu was quite good in his early days, but he's totally screwed up this version.
