On Around The Horn and PTI, the only reasons those corporate puppets seem to defend the living hell out of New England, Brady & Belichick are due to 1) Kornheiser not wanting to risk his six-figure salary playing the 'talking loud, saying nothing' role on MNF, 2) Wilbon being a fraud, not wanting to risk his six-figure job on ESPN and as an 'analyst' for NBA on ABC by even saying the things GCobb expressed and 3) They are afraid of confrontation. There are more questions to ask. Why did the NFL destroy the Spygate tapes? Why was the punishment for Belichick so little? Did Belichick CONTINUE to cheat after he was caught? The Pats are good, but c'mon it's HARD to go undefeated. The S. Bowl give doubt to Belichick's coaching.  He made bad plays in the SB. Just b/c you're caught don't mean you can't continue. I assumed some favoritism with the commissioner and the Pats at first, but I don't know.

Goodell, however, represents everything that is wrong with the world. this is indeed a dark time for the NFL... the transformation from honest sportsmanship to "entertainment." It will be fun to watch congress try to step in but with the tapes being destroyed it will probably be too little too late. Hmmm... funny how congress only took notice after the tapes were destroyed. Convenient?
