This song reminds me about my Uncle who lost his daughter in a car accident. He just wanted to give up. We helped him through everything and he is back up and starting to believe in God. It just shows how much God can help through the dark times.

I felt so alone, and as I was thinking about how terrible the change was, and being away from home, then this song came on Air1 and just broke me down. God really spoke to me through this song. He carried me through the transition, and let me know that I'm not alone.

I'll never knock anyone for expressing their faith. I'll just never understand what people mean by saying that someone that doesn't physically exist was there to comfort them. And to say that they're comforted because of their faith in him seems like a cop out.
Here's what i think. God has given up on us and when Final Judgment comes we will all be damned because of our pure hatred of each other over BS(ex. Religion, Race, and Nationality).
I serve no one but me and my family because they are the ones i cherish the most, not God. Focus on your life not your afterlife, these aren't the Dark Ages anymore. I'm not Christian but i respect people of all religions and all races/nationalities. I judge them by the content of their character. People can express their religion, i'm fine with that just don't shove it down my throat or my children's. People don't judge people, God does.

I'll never knock anyone for expressing their faith. I'll just never understand what people mean by saying that someone that doesn't physically exist was there to comfort them. And to say that they're comforted because of their faith in him seems like a cop out.

I serve no one but me and my family because they are the ones i cherish the most, not God. Focus on your life not your afterlife, these aren't the Dark Ages anymore. I'm not Christian but i respect people of all religions and all races/nationalities. I judge them by the content of their character. People can express their religion, i'm fine with that just don't shove it down my throat or my children's. People don't judge people, God does.

This song can definitely be interpreted as a song with a religious meaning no doubt about that but i like that it doesn't have to be about that. great songs can have multiple meanings appealing to each person differently. thats the beauty of music: its so intimate and personal :)

Most people don't know what or who God really is. I know i am still confused about this world and God. But i know he has blessed me so much. With a loving family, and MANY friends, i know i can count on when i'm down. I've been hurt countless times. There's moments i would like to give up on everything. But, when i listen to this. It just reminds me that God has his ways with things. It's his will we have to live by, and i know that God will never leave me to be alone, that he is ALWAYS with me.

@SynysterUchihaA7X But, it's a song by a Christian band - I guess if you want to make up your own interpretation of the song, you can, but having seen them in concert several times, I don't think there's much doubt as to Red's intention. They are pretty candid about their faith. . . Honestly, I find it kinda irritating when people get upset about other people acknowledging the presence of faith in CHRISTIAN music! :)

Seems like that should be expected. You are perfectly free to believe whatever you want and say so. So am I. Talking about my beliefs isn't forcing something down your throat.
