  • you could put an auto clutch on and it would be like driving a standard with no clutch

  • Did you ever find a way to do the choke?

  • Oh and u prob just need to replace your magneto. I had to do that with mine if that dosnt work u need a new battery

  • But with mine i dont need to clutch to shift ill prob make a vid in the next day or so

  • What i did with mine for having to push the clutch to start is if u look at the bottom youll see a little button and that gets pressed when u press the clutch so what u do is there is a plug connected to that button its usally behind the engine and all u gotta do is take that plug out and ur good

  • i have one question, if you install a gas pedal on a tractor with a clutch, do you still need the clutch so you can shift into gear? Or is it just shift, press pedal and it goes?

    Please respond.

  • @inventorize nope you still need to use the clutch, its pretty much like driving a standard vehicle

  • Love it man, one day were going to race! Lol I got a 29 hp water cooled v twin in my rideon and a gaspedal thats not govenored aswell as a 3.5 on the engine and a 2.5 inch pulley on the tranny, is yours 5 or 6 speed?

  • i got the same one. i just put a 2.5 inch pulley on the tranny and an 8 inch on the engine.

  • the reason ur battery isnt charging is bc ur amp meter went to shit if u change it u wont have a problem anemore

  • Very fun mower to mess around with, iv got the same one

  • batery wont charge when your driving it? your saying that thing had an alternator?

  • read your email

  • @Driver4r what??

  • @arild365 i emailed you back now check it

  • @Driver4r oh well i never got it. Send it to me again.

  • ill race you, i have the same mower. mine just has a kohler on it

  • @Driver4r haha well now she goes about 35 km/ hr. Shes got way bigger tires and shit. Yah man race is on!!! haha

  • do u need to do anything to instal the gas pedal other then just get a bike part?

  • my craftsman has the same throttle piece with that plastic thing. How did you attach the brake cable? Did you anchor it to one of the holes? Soldering? Tying?

  • @Awesome25ification I had to drill the hole a little bigger so the cable would fit and just got a small bolt with a hole in it and clapped it at the end of the cable.

  • your battery is bad, your governor or alternator is bad, or your wires are broke somewhere

  • get a old mower and take a light wire and trim it and hook it to a metal bar and run it to ur battery also thanks man it worksso good

  • get a old mower and take a light wire and trim it and hook it to a metal bar and run it to ur battery

  • very thankfull my mount feild 11 lawn tractor was a git to get the gas pedal to work

but mine dosnt go untill you rev it so thats i can let the clutch up an it wont ride off untill i rev it very thankfull again and nice vids

  • Un-plug the wire coming from under the flywheel, when the motor is running, take a voltmeter and put the postive on the wire, and the negative to a good ground. You should have 12V coming off the motor. If that works when the motor is running, disconnect the battery, see if your getting 12v to the cables with your meter, if not just track down the short, or a bad ground. You can always run a fresh wire from the lead coming from under the fly wheel, to the battery side of your solenoid

  • @intakepark thanks fer the great tips bro! il try that tommorow!

  • have u fixed the battery prob

  • @dragata1 no not yet but what i do is charge it and it lasts about a week and a half so its all good :P

  • @arild365 lol well ima give u tips lock your diff put a 15inch pully on the engine and a 3'' or smaller and youll FLY and un hook the brake and rerout it to another pedal ans there u go u can shift on the go with out stopping and youll still have your brakes

  • try the cylonoid use the old gas thing for your chouck

  • omg dude you helped me out sooo much thnks alot

  • @gopedfolife no problem man, im glad i could help you

  • the battery is out of acid when it out u have to buy a new battery

  • @dragata1 nope, got it fully checked out and it was totaly fine and just too be sure i threw in a battery that i knew worked from another tractor and still no luck!

  • @arild365 then it may be your ground wire or something to do with the wireing

  • for that choke find an old agway or mtd tractor fom like 1993 the throttle and choke are differnt controls loose that metal choke inkage it goes right to plastic choke plate and drill a hole in dash thats ow my old tractor was

  • the alternator retard

  • @wings454513 actually not...retard ive checked it with a multimeter. Lets see your sweet lawn tractor...what?...oh you DONT HAVE ONE! i think i smell a bit of jelousy!

  • how do you put on a choke?

  • how do you do the choke when you hook up a gas pedal?

  • I have an idea take the old throtel wire and atach it to the choke. See if that works. Lat me know

  • i do it manually but i have an old choke setup from another mower il use so its easier

  • what did you use for the choke??

  • so i have to jump it

  • Well idk if the battery is done or its my wiring

  • why do you boost the battery like that? that must get annoying

  • ill make a vid tommorow

  • 0:10

    that thing aint even muddy

  • well it regulates the gas and its the pedal so technically it is a gas pedal but whatever I understand what your saying

  • it dont regulate no gas

    it lets more air in

  • @arild365 what did you hook the spring to on the carb?

  • no pulley mods yet. I am planning on swaping the pulleys this week end and il post a video of it. Thanks for the advice.

  • Any pulley mods?

The battery problem sounds like the stator is bad, to test it un hook the wires going to it and if you have a volt test meter hook that up to it and then start it and see if you got a little over 12volts, if not then the stator is bad.

  • using a bike brake for a gas pedal,i never would've thoght of that

  • yah i know what you mean. Its really hard on the tractor. I also saw people attaching it to the butterfly on the carb andd that will eventually blow your motor cause the engines arnt meant to be reved so high! It may go faster but it wont last long.

  • @arild365 About 4500RPMs instead of the 3600RPMs stock will not hurt it, just know when to stop. :P

It will rev quicker too, but if you really want a lot of quick revs then you'll need to start doing cam mods and carb mods.

  • The thing that nobody understands is, a gas pedal controls the speed of the wheels, not the engine, its really not good for the engine to rev it like a car. the only true gas pedel would hook up to the trany, not the engine, like replaceing the "shifter" with a pedel and geting rid of the shifter.

  • @offroadingmachine007 You don't make sence.

  • on the video, that is not a true gas pedel, a true gas pedel would hook up to the trany and replace the shifter. it ruins engines like that, to rev it like a car.

  • No, it doesn't hurt the motor, only if you rev it to high. Have ever worked on a car? I'm not tring to be mean, but do you really think a gas pedal goes to the tranny?

  • Yes, i have worked on many cars and trucks. And no, the gas pedal, on a car, goes to the motor, but on a tractor, to make it the most realistic, what you would do is hook up the "gas pedal" to the trany, like my craftsman pgt 9000 riding mower. But to make it just like a car, you would have to make a real transmission. on a car as the engine runs, the trany shifts into first, and the car starts to go, then as the engine RPM's get higher, that faster the car goes, then eventually the trany shifts

  • into the next gear, and so on and so forth, with an automatic trany. but on a tractor with a "gas pedal" set up like the one on this video, you have to work the throttle, or "gas pedal" to control the engines RPM's, while also having to work the shifter handle. so its not a true "gas pedal" compared to a car. there i know way more than u think. dont make assumtions.

  • Ok I think I get what you saying.. I was thinking more like it's a 5 speed with separate clutch and gas pedals. And you would rev it up in each gear to accelerate then shift, and accelerate and so on...

At least thats how I like it.

  • Ok, good.
