This type of catapult is actually called a Springald which is a ballista that uses torsion to launch arrows but other than that nice vid and amazing catapult

@LordVesuvius It looks like a little pivoting arm with a nail through the front (so it locks the string) with another piece of wood under it, so if yo pull the little piece away the little arm releases the string. =]

it's just cotton. But I think you should use nailon.
