@funkateer17 you got different gear for different people, I prefer CD players and a mixer but a controller is good too. Good gear doesn't make a good DJ, if you suck with a controller you will suck with a pair of CDJ-2000 or a pair of technics turntables and if you're good you will be good no matter what type of gear you have.

I think that the s4 is better because it isn't as overpriced as the vci 400. Bit if you really are into serato software this controller seems to be quite good. The design is a bit disappointing in my opinion.
