I never thought about all the steps that go into creating a kung fu fight. The sequences in classic kung fu films looks strategic but at the same time are so fluid that I never thought about having each move planned out. I just saw the movie Films of Fury, and I can see where some of these techniques could come in handy. The film is a fantastic reference for anyone interested in fight scenes though. @pedro90 no, just practice at a slow pace. number each move. then count it out as your doing it. as your getting used to it start counting faster until you got it fast enough for your taste.

use pvc pipe and spray paint it

prolly better, two good sized wooden dowells, use one about an inch and a half in diameter, and cut to desired length, then drill a hole into it, the same size as the smaller dowell. then use spare section of the Larger one for the end of the handle

Awesome! I like to call it, "THE RHYTHM METHOD." Just like birth control! But seriously, using rhythms in your fight choreography is what allows you to do a "tight" scene with fast movements and yet, not get hurt...theoretically anyway.
