@HillaryHitler So you're saying that if Jeff Loomis picked up a shitty $100 dollar first act guitar he'd sound good, only because he has skill? Or even a shit epipphone guitar? Lol, no. He would be nowhere near as accurate or as fast for the shear fact that the guitar is not designed to be played in such a way. I've watched master guitarists pick up a Gibson Les Paul, rip for 5 minutes, and then pick up a custom Ibanez and rip once again. Theres a difference in speed and tone.

@joeythepoet2 of course theres a difference in tone but buying a higher quality guitar wont make u pick faster or make u more accurate... 90% of tone comes from the player not the guitar. A great guitarist will sound great on any guitar. unless of course its not a fully functional one.

I think that's false. A good guitar definitely does let me be able to pick faster and more accurate. I've definitely improved alot as a player since I upgraded to a nice guitar. Good quality frets and a nice action definitely helps with speed. A great guitarist doessound good on any guitar, but most won't touch $100 guitars because they already know the build quality effects their tone and playing ability.

And having a great guitar/amp inspires you to practice even more.

@Karlboy111 I've watched around 100 videos of him on youtube and have the 2 disc dvd set and I've seen him miss around 20 notes I think.... and not even all of those are really missed... some are just not played perfectly.... like a pinch doesn't come out quite right or something.... so that means out of around every 120,000 notes he plays one of them gets messed up.... pretty good average I'd say... he actually seems to play better standing too

@akhimakhi93 i don't know . . . i'm pretty sure the only real "growling he does is with his trademark growling/whispers I personally love the vocals, but that's just my opinion. and the vocals really aren't that low accept for a few lines in "And the Maiden Spoke," but I think he sounds fine in his lower range like he did in "Lucretia, My Reflection, Your Chosen Misery and This Old Man" on his solo album. But again thats just my opinion.
