Steven Seagal trained in Aikido in Japan. When he got to 4th dan, he had to train in another style in order to get his 5th dan, as this is required for anyone if they what to get their 5th dan. Steven learnt Tai Chi Chen style, and wing chun, both Chinese styles, ever though Aikido is a Japanese style. So you will see Steven do Aikido, wing chun or Tai Chi in his moves. Over all, i would say that Steven Seagal, and Jet Li are the best the Movie industry has seen. They can truly kick Arse.

In ALL of his recent fight scenes trick camera work do NOT show you the whole sequence of the fight. It's just flashes and bits and pieces of people flying, things breaking etc but you never actually SEE Seagal performing any of the beautiful fight scenes he once did so eloquently.
