  • This was an all time favorite from Lunch With Casey on WTCN_11 in the Minneapolis /St.Paul area until late December 1972.

  • 1966 was an odd musical year.

  • What fun! A dear friend of mine used to sing this. I was delighted to find it! Nice illustrations.

  • Susan Christie is a very mysterious person

  • I'd love this song if the kazoo wasn't so damn obnoxious

  • My wife and I used to sing along. Everything tubesteak49, toscanini9, phoebe2525 and the others said, and more!! Thankyouverymuch!!!

  • HONK IF U LOVE ONIONS! ! !

  • This song has a marvelous history including "Laugh In" and "Captain Kangaroo, " among others. But anyone, and everyone, who ever listened to the dulcet tones of Bill Mayhugh doing the overnights on WMAL in Washington, D. C. knows this song very well. Many thanks to Minstrelcraft for sharing this and providing a perfect video. It is great fun!!!

  • Thanks for the kind words! I heard my older brother singing it when I was a kid, but never heard the original until about 40 years later!

  • beatles

  • I love all of all of it. Susan Christie first, then onions.

    Wonderful, wonderful.

  • Genius fabuloso.

  • omg onions!

  • Haha! Love it! I love onions too.

  • This came out in 1966 and Cap't Kangaroo played it on his show. I loved it. It's one of those crazy ditties that once you hear it,it stays in your head for days until you start singing it under your breath, then out loud.Next thing you know, people are looking at you like you've lost your mind. Oh well... LOL
