USSR is NOT Russia. Please don't compare. USSR was made up of players from a mix of republics, mainly Ukrainian, but also Belarus and Russia, plus a few from others. I was, of course, gutted we lost this final, we had such a great team in the 80's, just a shame that the Dutch were well on form that day AND we had several chances and a missed penalty from Belanov of all people.
