Cons: It's impractical for high-end animation - when I've got a rig set up, it can pose a lot faster than that. Price is high. Also the joints seem to snap, so you can't be very precise with angles.

Pros: People who are new to this - or just don't want to deal with complicated 3d stuff - could get a boost from a device like this, provided they have a lot of money to throw at it. Could be used to make avatars

Might sell nicely if it would work with DAZ software.

@Zareste It can still be useful to speed up earlier animation processes for previews and such, or to prepare more complex animations. The only real problems I see with it are its price and the fact I know nothing of its durability.

you can pose your model in your 3d app. looks like they are just to lazy to do it in theirs. i'd take this for free, wouldn't pay for it as you can just do it manually in your 3d app. @KaydaraAnimator, you are exactly right, animation itself is the hard part.

I'd want a loose jointed one to do real life ragdoll physics! you would still need a motion capture program like Arena or to record it though, as software like Poser or Daz studio only does a frame at a time.

Also, as someone who hates rigging with a passion... I've got no problem with anything that makes rigging easier. I hate getting to the end of a model then realising that I'll soon need to rig the bloody thing.
