I would try Rhino 3d. It is almost like Autocad 3d and not much a steep learning curve. It is fairly easy to grasp. 3ds Max is also very good but it is a bit hard.
Could you create some tutorials on how you did the walkthrough and the rendering of each frame.
I had couple of questions about the house 1. did you make all of the parts in the house (TV, chairs, couch, bed etc.) and is there any way to download parts to ad to your house?
2. how did you create the stairs in such way because i would like to make stairs using some sort of marble for my house design.
@rodriguezm21 , there's a lot of intresting books about revit , like Introducing BIM from beginners...and Revit Arch. No experienced required from Sybex,..but if you are like Faizdocom' who just poste a comment below, you kinda like the video tutorials..then I'll recommand you a very great series from Lynda, they just come up and they are for beginners ..It's Lynda- Revit 2011 Essential training..or try out the VTC Revit 2010, but Lynda stuff is much better....
Very impressive for a Revit walkthrough! Very nice choice of materials and colors. You must have a pretty good library. I didn't get a chance to read every comment to see of you've mentioned it but would you mind posting the specs of your machine that rendered this project? I read it took 12-13 days. Was that continuous? You have some patience! Two thumbs up! Would more thumbs if I had them :)
@rodriguezm21 ... hmmm... i would recommend reading the HELP file in Revit - everything is there to learn. but i'm actually a "visual" kind a guy so i like to watch video tutorials... you can start HERE! youtube it! Also, there's a lot of site you can go to, some charges, some don't.
brother and more over ... there is too much light into your video...
means picture is not bluring or lights are not gettin dim or more effective..
how's that like! ??????????
do reply brother... ill be waitin for that please!! now i came to know about decal tool its okay with that...but need to know about the walkthrough rendering settings in detail..
@faizdodcom .... decal tool is just a tool you use to place an image (jpeg, tiff....). once you placed it to the surface (flat) you want you won't be able to see it until you render it. configurations? hmmm..... i think i have 9gb ram... i7 extreme processor. i think i posted it before so just look on all comments... hope that helps.
welll i am just waitin for your mail.... on my mail address... archeo14@gmail.com please sir... let mee know about your video in detail.. as i am using 2011 revit and wanna make like your video... just let mee know about the grahics and frames that you made into that..and later as i sent youaa about my PC... please please please!!!! ill be waitin for your replyyyy on my mail.. please sir...!!! help mee out for this ! waitin for your replyyy onlyyy! please sir reply me soon!!! takecare

@faizdodcom.... rule of thumb for creating a walkthrough... first you need to create a draft (single image = one frame) using a "screen" resolution (for this is the setting you want for walkthrough and not the "printer" w/c really is for printer purposes... then... this single image should only take you minimal amount of time to render (i.e., 3-5 minutes). your graphics card looks good, your 3gb ram is ok.... if you can bump that up another gib or even better 8gb ram that would speed it up.
@mrziauddin2010... you just have to play around with the camera path... you might need to change views (cascade your views) to access front, back, side views.... this way you can change the FOV (field of views). let me know if that helps. goodluck.
@faizdodcom, graphics part? you mean the one in the picture frame? those are basically any images you place using "decal" tool in Revit. As far as furnitures i modelled some of them in CAD and import it in Revit then applied the fabric material of your choice.
Amazing work!!.. thanx for sharing it!! im just trying to learn how to make a walkthrough myself..and found this quite interesting for starters.. tells me what i can do and cant!!...
lol great, i have just started playing with this baby, but i gotta get new pc lol, coz with my pentium dual core, crappy integrated graphics and 2 gigz of ram i wont get to far lol

Great, work! In the credits you list metal ray as your render engine. Do you use it as a standalone or plugging? By how much would you say the render speed and quality is increased? Thank you.
wow great work buddy, must have take a fair few days to render :), was rendering done in revit or 3ds max? only cristism is when the camera pans up, other than that top job mate!
