How old is that WRF man? Cuz the shrouds are part of the tank, so probs 05 or earlier.

Great video, but one critical comment....DONT USE TIE STRAPS TO SECURE HOSES/CLAMPS!! the engine area of a dirtbike gets very hot during normal operation. It is always a better idea to secure the plugs using proper safety wire than a zip tie. This also guarantees that the parts will not come off after repeated blasts with a pressure washer. Cheers.

Sorry for my ignorance but why do you have to remove the AIS? Whats the advantage and what the work of AIS?

IMPORTANT NOTE... California Rangers are really starting to crack down on people who have removed the AIS system from thier bikes. If you live in the left coast I would bypass this modification unless you only ride on closed tracks. Pity really, this mod adds a nice bit of kick.

i had the old wr400, do the throttle, grey wire, yzf exhaust, and cam advancement and its a monster. it goes from a tame ass bike to a ripper....eats my crf250

How does the ais cause the exhuast to 'pop'?

When you decelerate the pump causes a popping noise, as for why it happens I was told the smog pump screws with the airflow and that is the reason, but you could asak your dealer.
