It's highly irresponsible to put someone on stage in front of thousands of people within a days of leaving rehab. But they wanted their money and she paid the price. I hope this haunts them forever.

Wow, this is sad. When you look at someone like Beyonce--a manufactured artist-- who does not have a modicum of the talent Amy has, yet she thrives. It highlighs the fact that Amy is lacking the love and strong family support that Beyonce has. This is not meant to be any black/white bs; I am a Black woman who can stomach some of Beyonce's drivel.
Amy Winehouse was an exceptional artist. Hopefully she will be remembered in that capacity. Having said that, you don't have to show you elegance to one artist by discrediting another. I'm not fond of the material Beyonce has recently produced, but I still acknowledge her vocal abilities...so should you. Always give credit where credit is due.

When I first saw footage of this concert I already said that I thought it was sickening how no one seemed to stop her. That her management kept booking her for these shows, while she was clearly unable to, and how people just stood and laughed and rolled their eyes and made 'when will she die' polls and whatever and now she's gone everyone seems shocked. I absolutely agree that the media's behaviour is hypocritical, but all too often, so is the rest of the world. How many of the people on this site who are grieving about Amy and talking about 'giving her a big hug to take away the pain' would show the same sympathy for a suffering, drug addicted 46 year old homeless man on the street? Most people react to the sight of such a person with barely-concealed disgust. Amy got much more support than many people get.

Look up the video "AW - She Done Good" and songs from her first CD. The best cure for ignorance is information.

I also think that she was quite a pretty girl, however the alcohol and drugs ruined her. I apologise for causing any offence and will try to be more open-minded next time. In case you see this, try searching for Amy Winehouse BBC Sessions, Bristol TBA and Teach Me Tonight. The "I Told You I Was Trouble" documentary is great and will give you a sense of Amy as a person. (She was brilliant and very funny.) Plus the official videos for any of her album tracks offer great vocal performances.

When I first saw footage of this concert I already said that I thought it was sickening how no one seemed to stop her. That her management kept booking her for these shows, while she was clearly unable to, and how people just stood and laughed and rolled their eyes and made 'when will she die' polls and whatever and now she's gone everyone seems shocked. Remember the show where she was drunk and punched a fan? Yeah? That was 3 years ago and in all those years no one stopped her.

I think it's unacceptable! The fans not to boo, but rather to encourage it, it is not in its normal state, it must help, she needed love, tenderness ... it should have been cancel this concert, but was pushed to do so it's all the fault of his agent! No! What is REALLY SAD is the FACT that her manager, bandmates, and body guards FORCED HER to stay on the stage to remain performing after she TRIED to leave the stage on 2 different occasions!!!!! THEY KNEW she was too far gone to perform but they made her stay on stage anyway...THAT is what's sad!! Her entire entourage were nothing but sycophants and enablers using her as their meal tickets to fame and fortune. RIP Amy!!

I absolutely agree that the media's behaviour is hypocritical, but all too often, so is the rest of the world. How many of the people on this site who are grieving about Amy and talking about 'giving her a big hug to take away the pain' would show the same sympathy for a suffering, drug addicted 46 year old homeless man on the street? Most people react to the sight of such a person with barely-concealed disgust. Amy got much more support than many people get.

@MrGeorgios2020 Artists as diverse as Prince and Tony Bennett admired Amy Winehouse enough to want to work with her, and critics the world over have attested to her musical brilliance, so your opinion doesn't count for much. If you really want to know "how on earth anyone can call her talented," look around. There are videos here for dozens of songs that will answer that question. Look up the video "AW - She Done Good" and songs from her first CD. The best cure for ignorance is information.

I also think that she was quite a pretty girl, however the alcohol and drugs ruined her. I apologise for causing any offence and will try to be more open-minded next time. When I saw this video again I cried. I cried for her, and for her family. She was only 27. She was someone's daughter. God bless you.

In case you see this, try searching for Amy Winehouse BBC Sessions, Bristol TBA and Teach Me Tonight. The "I Told You I Was Trouble" documentary is great and will give you a sense of Amy as a person. (She was brilliant and very funny.) Plus the official videos for any of her album tracks offer great vocal performances.

I highly recommend a documentary here called "Amy Winehouse - What Really Happened," which tries to explain what turned Amy from the bubbly teenager of her first CD to the woman you see here in Belgrade. It's quality journalism, very interesting an ultimately very sad. All the best.
