  • Nice choreo.

Btw, I'm part of Future Shock Canada... *cough* Canada and man, I love hip hop, been dancing for about 4/5 years.

Ignore Batica for his comment... mix whatever you want as long as it looks good. Still gotta say though, the choreo was a bit slow for this type of song.

Anyways, I gotta go my igloo's melting.. damn global warming... No worries, I'll go exchange my toonie for an American dollar and move to Texas and buy some McDonalds. My life should be fine by then.

  • Wicked!

  • i'm was a teacher for Culture Shock Canada !!... i think your dance is good

  • First thing, I've been doing hip hop for over 5 years, and practically never touched a hockey stick of my life. And I'm Canadian.

Second thing, I went swimming today and it was 83 degrees outside. My Polar bear actually died, and I had to borrow my neighbor's sleigh to get to the mall, but unfortunately all the snow had melted, and it took me 2 hours to get there.

So just let me tell ya guys something: Canada rules!

  • Ok now we're officially jealous. We never get to sled in the Bay Area. Once we saw a kid sitting at the top of big downhill street on a toboggan just crying for about three days. And our Polar Bears are really small and everyone calls them cats. One time it was 83 degrees here and the Governor had to declare a state of emergency and issue a statewide frost warning.

That's it we're defecting. Open the borders, here we come!

"Oh Canada, our home and hmm, hmm, hmmmmmmmm ..."

  • ya and wut the heck's up with everyone out of canada thinkin that canada is so cold.even tho in the states it's usually hot ,it don't mean canada is some glacier.

  • Umm ... yeah.

So wait, you mean kids aren't riding sleds to school? We thought Canadians are the ones who call Polar Bears SUVs.

All right, you know we're just playing, but since the subject has come up a few times now, maybe we should start a list of common misconceptions about Canadians and other nationalities. If you have one you hear all the time that you're sick of, POST IT HERE!

Let's see what we come up with

  • It does not snow all year around.

We don't have polar bears all over the place.

A loonie is the name of "a dollar" not a relative.

    Beavers aren't everywhere.

Some of us suck at hockey... some hate it... some love it.

we don't have snow tires on year round.

AND it does get up to 40 degrees here.

  • Love it, just the post we were looking for!

Couldn't find it on the internet, but there's joke that goes something like, "when the temperature hits 50 degrees, Californians huddle around the fire, Canadians open a window, and Alaskans put on a tank top." It continues on through every drop of 10 degrees. Anyone know it???

Keep it coming Canadians and everyone else who has something to say about what the rest of the world doesn't understand about where you live!

  • excuse me, but canadians are Not just into moose and hockey, I personally like hip hop and other dance forms, and guess whatm I"m canadian...eh?

  • No need to excuse, we love all y'all Canadian brothers and sisters and we KNOW y'all be lovin some Hip Hop. We just had to razz homeboy up above cuz he came up in our house and tried to front. Plus it was a good opportunity to drop a lil knowledge about a subject very important to us. Thanks for representin for our Northern homies!

    Peace, eh - FUNKMODE

  • it's funny how americans know so much about us canadians..

  • I know, it's like we right up there next to you listenin to K-oS albums and getting free health care. Why don't they just tear them borders on down so we can ride your moose and you can ride our world famous sense of entitlement?

We're running for president on the platform of "North America without Borders", but don't tell the Mexicans!

  • damn it choreographers.STOP mixing contemporary and hiphop together, it looks like crap.oooo yeah, your warning is funny.

  • Damn it Canadians, STOP mixing your opinions and Hip Hop together.

You might want to stick to hockey or moose or something.

ATTENTION PEOPLES! Hip Hop is a freestyle form of dance which came into existence in the 70s by MIXING various other popular styles of the time such as Lindy Hop, Sock Hop, Tap, Rockin, Jazz and Martial Arts. If it weren't for mixing styles we WOULDN'T HAVE HIP HOP.

  • If we stop pushing the envelope and continuing to evolve Hip Hop, HIP HOP WILL BECOME STALE AND DIE. If we don't keep it fresh, corporations and others who don't care about it will kill Hip Hop for sure. Hip Hop was NEVER supposed to be one set thing. It is an ever changing FREEstyle created by us street kids and that's where it remains. Hip Hop is our life and we have the creative right and RESPONSIBILITY to change it to keep it ALIVE.

  • So if you love Hip Hop, get out there and create something new!

    - FUNKMODE

  • thi is more like a contemporary piece

  • It's true. We like to switch it up every once in a while depending on the kind of song we choose. It's kinda funny, even though it was the least Hip Hop styled routine we did in 2006, it was one of our student's favorites. We got back on the Hip Hop train in 2007 w/"Go Ignit".
