  • @Thebeeflies Actually is a rough version of Magnificent

  • Thank you U2, Daniel Lanois and Brian Eno for sharing this intimate moment with us. Truly amazing. I can feel it through my monitor.

  • The tune at the start is the beginnings of Magnificent

  • @shackle5 yeah, is an amazing rough version

  • thefutureisahead, I totally agree with you!! It must take them hours to come up with songs that would later be so well known such as magnificent and unknown caller :). I love U2 can't wait for Anaheim :).

  • Cool sounds! Really interesting to hear where the songs came from and how they progressed. Love this!

  • Amo u2!! es mi banda favorita! ya estoy esperando a que vengan a argentina !!

    BONO TE AMO =)

  • i really like this and i hope songs of ascent turns out to be something like this. but i understand why they didn´t release it like this,it would be really tough to translate to a live setting. but nloth still a great album with great solid songs.

  • <3 U2 from an Moroccan fan, keep it up and gl with your world tour!!!!!!!!

  • SOO cool

  • BRILLIANT.

  • Thank you for posting.

  • This song will stay in our memories !!!

  • This video is great. I hope we get to see more of their recording sessions in Morocco.

  • They should release a bonus CD with all this rare stuff, I´m so thrilled with the early version of Unknown Caller...such a beautiful song.

  • they actually mentioned it, they might do it this month in fact! its called u2- songs of ascent. they consider it more of an idea then something they would put in motion at the time being, but watch out for it!

  • 3:30 Sounds AMAZING!!! So much better than on the album. This is better

  • okay, on this next album we need stuff like this... Really, we do... That intro to Magnificent would have been up there with one of the greatest things they'd ever released...

  • Im moroccan and Im a big U2 fan, I wish they could make a jig in the country because there's many many fans waiiting for so long...Bono if u read this :-)

  • The music playing to this video is great. They should've included something like this in the new album.

  • they did.. at around 1:40 it becomes obvious it's magnificent. and at 3:21 it's unknown caller

  • Yeah! :D

  • corbijn is so tall o.o; he's my hero , i love his photography.

  • dutch are the most taller standard in the world

  • yeah I know, but i'm dutch myself and not bigger then 7 ft. hahaha :P

  • The song winter is a great song.... It is in the Corbjin Film Linear...

  • This videos are a jewel. The ALBUM is great. However I would have loved that they could play some random and rough material form these sessions on the album. It sounds awesome...

  • think about it, 5 months ago us loyal fans woulda killed to see this lol

  • I do not care about the accusations as long as they are original and as long as they come to India.. Why dont they visit the world's largest democracy? which has 1.6 billion people..???

  • arguable whether or not india is a democracy???

  • what ever u might say! we have an election process and the head of state is elected so as far as teh definition goes ours is a democracy!

  • I do not know why U2 is so amazed about Morocco's music but if they want a different influence they should come to India and experience the variety.. With AR rahman winning 2 oscars for soundtrack in Slumdog millionaire i hope Indian music will be more popular!

  • they'd be accused of copying the Beatles if they did that

  • Because morocco has exceptionnel variety in its music

  • "forgive yourself" instead of "reboot yourself"...I like much better! love unknown caller though!

  • Adam has long hair :D

  • lovin this song!!!!

  • super

  • the edge

  • Great vídeo...thanks! :D

  • The beginning of this video sounds a lot like the main guitar riff on Nine Inch Nails "The Hand That Feeds" in my opinion.

  • True, true but since that first piece of music doesn't show up on the album it really doesn't matter

  • Yeah, true. They actually kept some of those notes If you listen to the finished version of Magnificent at the very beggining, the bass intro is the same riff.

  • Great sessions ;)

  • I can hear the begginings of "Magnificent" near the end of the jam session. If any of you ever hear the Aghtung Baby stolen tapes from their early Berlin sessions, you'll notice the similarity in the way U2 records their music. They do straight jams and eventually come up with song structures.

  • yeah i completely agree

  • thats why Rubin didn't work out as producer. he wanted them to come in ready with songs that he could rework.

  • I wish they'd released something like this...
