Now I see kids with cellphones and I want to spit blood. God, we used to be so much more easily amused. I could have willed away HOURS in my backyard in CA with a stick and a hole in the dirt..
wow.. i loved these when i was a kid... i had all kinds of them.. getting mom light the oven so we could make them was a diff story.. i couldnt just make one and have her put in the oven. i had to make them all just for her to help me use the oven..lol..... she just didnt want to turn on the oven for one lil one..lol..
I remember smashing my face against the oven window so I could watch them shrink. I also loved those little capsules you put in a glass of water that turned into a sponge animal. I was an easily amused child :)
When I was a kid they had shrink plastic at the local craft store (the craft stores back then were called HOBBY STORES) and then you had to buy the pens separately. Back then they didn't have kits and they just called it Shrink Art. LOL I loved it and I actually still have some of my original works of art in an old box from when I was a kid. LOL
@GomerDose Then you grow up a bit more, your mother goes back to work, leaving you home with your sister for a few hours after school, and you discover that you can light plastic forks with the gas stove ! (Hypothetical situation, of course.) Did you know they don't really burn properly? They do some weird bubbly melting, blackening part, but the best part is that little bits come flying off, and FLOAT around like little black smoking snowflakes !
OMG I HAD ONE OF THESE LOL but i had mine in like the 1999- 2003 era ish lol they dont make em anymore they used to b the coolest thing and u could make necklaces although for mine it came with an oven thing or did i use the easy bake oven? anyway classes toys are always better then the old ones WAY cooler!
I dont think they make em anymore last time i saw em was like when i was 8 or 9 that was like 6-7 years ago im pretty sure they have em on Ebay lol i donated mine to! its a shame ):

Terry and June! Sweet!
I didn`t have these but I remember getting Tom and Jerry ones in some Rice Crispies I think.
I think that`s what led to the later shrinking of crisp packets by the fire XD
