WELL BEN YOU REALLY BOMBED THE FORECAST FOR DECEMBER-- not one snowfall in December at all in the lehigh valley-- i think the rule of 3 fails finally as this is a true la nina like you showed and last yr was a freak,,, well maybe you can do better for january-lol
@LoganMulti12 I see. well, It is possible we might get a little more than 18 inches this year in general. last year was a very big disappointment for me, being since I am a big snow lover. We got less than our average snowfall, sadly. But don't think we'll be disappointed this year :)
@piloneman Your true. January might start of slow but probably leave out with a bang. Some meteorologist are predicting massive snowstorm all month of Febuary
@LoganMulti12 Yeah, it maybe mild....for now. I even told a few people that even if it is mild, do not get use to it because it will not be like this for the rest of the winter. sometime, in January, I expect the cold front to finally come spilling down into to eastern U.S(including the mid atlantic region), cold enough to support snow. And I also agree there will also be snow in February as well. I cannot wait for this stupid warm spell to finally go away so the cold will finally come in place.
@piloneman No snow next week. European Model saying the low is 2 far off the coast so now the percentage of the snow next week drop to a 25% chance from a 60%.
Actually, they are predicting above average through this winter for Maryland, especially in the I-95 corridor, which is where I'm at and for this case, I go with what the old farmers almanac says because they are pretty accurate. Said the snowiest periods will be in mid-December, mid and late January and late February. And after so much rain we have been having, I, in general, have a feeling we're going to be in for it this year.
@LoganMulti12 Well, there are certain things I do no agree on. Of course, i also check on the Old famers almanac. And as for just the farmers almanac site, I just go into the forums with some more deeper and better info for other things. but in overall, I believe we'll have better luck with more snow than last year :)
@piloneman My dad is the chief meteorologist of Fox 29 in Philadelphia and he been a meteorologist for 20yrs. He also told me that its not that accurate. I have my own computer models my dad bought me and they are predicting slighty about average snowfall. The average for Philadelphia is 22.2 inches and we are calling for 22-28 inches.
@emrgrn in that case BEN YOU HAVE MY SUPPORT -- i still remember BOLARIS's busts in 2000 and 2001 in NYC then they gave him the BOOT --hmmm he doesnt even have a BS in Meteorology lol an AS heheh--- i was an army man of his heheh
