Fan-friggin-tastic! I was looking for renditions of this great old song and found this video. Benson does a fabulous job! Also, that string bass player REALLY swings!
whats about the negative comments here? r u fdeaf? open your heart and let envy go away for a second, he is doing what he loves and dam he can sing, thats also the reason you are at home watching him. relax enjoy. peace
I wish that people who seem to know so much than G. Benson who has been in the business for more than 30 years would post some of their stuff and p[rove they know what their talking about.
@ask4danz you're just starting with the best! if you got a chance, try also some "kind of blues" from miles davis and john coltrane, you just might like it.
@ask4danz My condolences no doubt 2 of the most influentials. My father also loves jazz Ididnt like it when growing up I got to like it later Im 28 but now IM happy we both share our love for jazz
@ask4danz both are fantastic artists and legends in their own right. Jazz music is soulful, witty, honest, fun, and full of class. I'm certain your father was drawn to jazz - much as you are now - because he too shared these traits. Follow your heart and ears and I promise you that listening to and appreciating jazz will enrich your life.

Stay with that guitar George. You sing great but, don't need to do it when you play like you do, and scat at the same time...
Thanks for this Meciar1

Oh deary me Mr Benson, What were you thinking of ? I m afraid that this could be the worst version I have ever heard of this great standard.
I just guess he was wanting a to do a tune with a big band, But George....... You swung like a bus stuck under a bridge.
