Not sure if I have mine set up right, but it stays in tune pretty well as long as you're not overly abusive to it. Vibrato and moderate divebombs won't take it out of tune, but fluttering and the sort will de-tune it over a fairly short period of time. Hope this helps!
I plan on buying a rondo guitar, because i'm on a budget and want a floyd rose. I was checking out this model, but do you know of any others made by rondo that have a floyd and sound great?
Honestly I'm not really sure. This Hawker is actually the only Rondo guitar I've seen in person, so it's all I can go by. The guitar in and of itself is pretty great, but there are certain things you should know about it. The pickups are basically begging to be replaced if you want to play anything with even moderately high gain, and they have next to zero harmonic response. The neck is a pretty comfortable one but a little difficult when trying to play faster leads.
@NotLimitedToKyle thanks man. I'm picking up SX Hawk, it's $150, but i'll be doing upgrades to it. I'll be installing seymour duncans, and a dual locking trem. Maybe i'll get a new neck from Warmoth.
what are you talking about man your solo was NICEEEE... im looking to get a hawker off rondo too i just wanna know if the neck would suit shredding too
@MusicToMyEars36 Haha thanks although I'll disagree on that one. The Hawkers are good guitars for the price. The frets are a little smaller than most Ibanez guitars (a good benchmark for "shred" guitars) so if that suits you well, go for it. I've enjoyed my guitar thus far, although I plan to put some new Dimarzios in it.
@MusicToMyEars36 Yeah I'd say that sounds about right. They're not too small, they're just not jumbo frets. I'm not much of a gear buff so I don't even recall the specifications of the neck scale or anything, so my knowledge comes directly from my experience of owning the guitar. It's immaculate, I can tell you that much for sure lol
@NotLimitedToKyle lol kool, thanx for the info.. i live in australia so i dont wana order one and not like it.. im just trying to get as much hands on info before i do order.. thanx again
