  • This brings tears to my eyes... manly tears!!

  • A Automobile should be like a wife. You marry it once and you spend the rest of your life with it.

    This is why i bought a Mercedes Benz S500 W140 1996.

  • damn i love my 1983 240D! runs like a tank, drives on the road solid as a tank not wandering away from the draft when you meet a semi truck.. fires up in the coldest temps, only if the battery lasts. love that car ill never sell it!

  • This video makes me teary eyed. I owned a W123 wagen for a brief while when I lived in the UK. Yesterday I bought a 1993 W124 400E here for the wife. The car has zero rust and has lived through Chicago winters

  • My first car and bought with my own money is C-Klasse W202... will never sell it until I die.. and I will buy another G-Klasse for sure !

  • I've rode in cars from Mercedes Benz more than any of it's rivals

  • My uncle had a Mercedes Benz w124 250d turbo, last year november 2010, he traded it for a 2005 Ford Focus 2.0tdci. on tuesday, 1 november 2011, the dealer called and said your benz is still here do you want it. Then, my uncle happily took back our beloved mercedes , and is still going, as strong as ever, defying the ages. Mercedes Benz is unlike any other, its love never fades, its faith never ends, its soul never goes away.

  • They should have added Michael Schumacher to this video.

  • God I love this. My Mercedes Benz has never let me down and being over 25 years old it runs better than most of the newer cars today.

  • Gottlieb Daimler, Karl Benz, and Wilhelm Maybach (Who are also the inventors of the automobile) should be proud of the brand they founded.

  • w203 for ever

  • I've seen it 20 times :')

  • I cried seeing this video

  • Once a Mercedes owner, always a Mercedes owner.

  • After seeing the video again i cried . So beautifull... so unique... so perfect...

Now i will go and kiss my 2005 W203, cause the love for a Mercedes never fades

  • My trusted W124 never lets me down. It was previously owned by my father and later passed down to me. Now I understand why he loves the car so much! The car creates an emotion each time u drive it.

  • Proud to own( 2 )W 123's ,the best

  • w126 for ever

  • mercedes forever

  • Geez, that video is so moving that made me shed some tears. Now I'm quite positive to buy a Mercedes, no matter how long does it takes.

  • Thats was the best 5 minutes of my life there. What an amazing ad. Thumbs up to Merc!

    Still want that BMW?

  • This video reminds me our taxi W124 250D 88mod(R.I.P. 2008). 20 years, faithful to my father and to our family, always ready on any taxi-challenge as snow, rain, mud, V.I.P.,to-the-hospital-right-now, I'm-loosing-my-flight... So many stories from 3.800.000km...

  • The most beautiful story I've ever seen*-*

Very nice. Very amazing. It's just like... if those cars were alive, meant only to be the best ever friend of their driver :) Now I know, how cars count love :)

  • tears to my eyes...

  • Every Mercedes owner has a story including me and my dad

  • I bought a 1975 280C and it's getting it's carb rebuilt. Hopefully I'll get at least 200,000 more miles out of it then the 189,000 that's on it now.

  • great deep and touching video..

  • best commercial ever.

  • E280TE, bought in 1997 as a 6 year old car.

    Today, 470.000 still going strong

  • our -90 200D has run almost 1m Kilometers. and it still works like a new

  • yes uncle! in the accident te car stop up side down and the windows not break! was a E190!

  • My cousing in Ecuador Dr Oswaldo Bastidas president of the Rotary club in Machala had a 1989 E class Mercedes Benz after hit a piece of metal in the road at 100 miles per hour the car roll over and spin several times hit hard a wall and the car stop up side down in the middle of the road he was whit his wife and four children nobody was hurt .I'm an Auto Mechanics and i know there are still alive becouse there were inside a Mercedez today the car is back and replaced for a new E

  • A mercedes sets itself apart in many ways from other car brands. Longlevity, durability, comfort, safety, but above all the driving experience. Of course there are many other good brands out there. Nowadays there aren't any real bad brands. But the driving experience difference is that in every car when you get in after a hard day at work, you still have to drive home. In a mercedes, you are already at home.

  • My 98 C230 has 155K miles but everything works just like new

  • Mercedes is the best

  • The first car I purchased with my own money was a '95 S320. Great car, probably saved my life in the crash that ended its. I now own another '95 Mercedes, this time an E320 cabriolet. 204k miles and still going strong, I am hoping to keep it until it hits at least 350k.

  • @sharpanator True that ... look at the new Hundays also ... trying to look like a C or an older E class.

  • I drive a -95 E220. Spend in repairs about 1000e in 1/2 year, but i dont care because now my car is (almost) perfect.

  • mine is 300SEL 1990 driven about 750k km and still working fine

  • I'm not even a licensed driver yet, let alone the fact that I've never owned a Mercedes, and yet even I can tell through this commercial that Mercedes are truly special. Hopefully I'll be able to own one someday and experience how truly special they are. May your Mercedes' last til the end of time.

  • @R160A just wait till u drive one :)........ brings tears to my eyes just thinking about mercedes........ even driving alone at night i never feel alone...... there is something about a mercedes u dnt get with other cars, i cant really describe what it is, but when u drive one u will know :). good luck hope u end up with one :)

  • @betrayergrandma Agreed...the first Mercedes I drove was a W203 C220 CDI...perhaps nothing special compared to other C-Class variants let alone other Mercedes models, and yet I somewhow felt at home as soon as I started driving it...I think it's the accumulation of all the tiny details that go into the design and making of a Mercedes: like how they use a panel of judges to select which indicator tick sounds best...anyway, I am really looking forward to owning my first Mercedes :)

  • i just bought my first car, and not surprisingly its a Mercedes, a w123 -83 240D! its the 10th Mercedes in my familys generation! my dad has had 3, my grandpa 4 and my great grandpa had one. even my uncle had one! well they are the best cars! simply i would never drive anything else..

  • I inherited my Dad's 1988 260E-- it's got a few quirks, but I will never get rid of it if I can help it. I just adore that car. Dad was German, and it was his baby; to give you an idea, I just last month put 120,000 miles on it. There were 2 carmakers he adored: M-B and Porsche (parents had two 356s before they had kids.) I love this car, and although I use it a lot more than he did, it is simply amazing. I like my own Honda Civic, but I am in love with the 260E. :)

  • Mercedes benz cars and they're owners are among the most loyal anywhere, No other car company has customers as passionate as us. Mercedes benz cars are the best in the world, truly a fact, although you may pay more for one, the old saying is true you get what you pay for, treat it good and it will treat you good, if you keep the car long enough it can work out cheaper then a ford

  • This video makes me want to go and kiss my W203 C 220 CDI

I love Merceses Benz and will drive a Merc for as long as i live!

    (Got to wipe my tears...)

  • I love my '89 300SE - the video is beyond words...almost brings tears to my eyes too;)

  • Maybe its the fact that as long as its in my power I will never drive anything else, maybe its the fact that I still own two of the 4 Mercs Ive bought, or maybe it something else, but tears nearly well up watching this ad.

  • I love my W123...

  • I love my G-Wagon!

    Best ad ever!

  • a beautiful commercial . I could watch it millions of times !

And I just can say that i love and will love mercedes for ever !

  • I have decided to buy myself a 75 280C from a guy who originally bought it for his son. His son wanted a NEW C class, not the older one. So, I scored. She will be taken in for a major tune up and then I'll have the clear coat worked on. This will be my fifth Benz. Awesome cars. I love the way the older ones smell inside!

  • The first comercial ever that make a tear comming out...

I will never drive another car than a Mercedes....I'm very proud of my car when I can drive tomorrow with my Mercedes-Benz CL to work...and at home...and to my firefighter sorties...or to the airport so serve in Afghanistan...or what ever...

It's a comercial that lets you appreciate about the smal things in your live

  • i have

    1929 ssk replica

    1963 w111 220 s

    1965 w110 200

    1975 w115 300D

    and 1984 w126 500 AMG sec.

i will never ever by anything but a Benz and the day that i have a real money i wouldn't purchase a Ferrari , the mclaren would be the one.

  • Ive discovered the other car, a VH Holden Wankerdoor, 3 passengers 2 dies instantly, the third is now legless......(rear passenger)

  • @DRPadmologist lol @ wankerdoor.............. shitheaps :)............ cant stand sub standard cars like holdens!!!! so many fatalities in aust with commodores, poor engineering.

  • brings tears to my eyes uragh Mercedes-Benz

  • After i watched this video i want an 190E and a W124 300D turbo so bad....

Some of my favourite Benzes :(

  • almost maked me cry

  • i HAVE A 1996 MERCEDES BENZ S600.. THE BEST CAR I HAVE EVER OWNED.. WILL NEVER SELL IT..

Probly will pas it on to my son.

  • Mercedes-Benz, without any doubt, is one of the greatest car...

but, M-class was the most dissatisfying car in UK...

and my friends A-class was not very different...

But, newer Mercis surely the best car...

  • I cried manly tears.

  • My Dad has a 75 W115 240D we got it in australia and it truly means the world to me,

Jeremy Brett all the way from srilanka!

  • The well working Servo-Lenkung of the W100 is awesome!

You won´t believe, how easy it is, to maneuvre a (depending on version) 3 ton car around the tightest situations. the wheel turns like there is no resistance at all, but at 200 km/h it runs the line precisely. great work, 1964 anyway.

  • Why is there a need to have TWO ML's in this ad? How about the W123 that has 2.4 million miles on it?....Or is Mercedes too interested in selling their POS (compered to everything else in this video) new cars???

  • @DamnStraightM35A2

I don't think there should even be a single ML in this advert - I think they were some of the most unreliable Mercs ever made?

  • @energymc22 yes they are/were some of the most unreliable Mercs made

  • @energymc22

First Benz to be built in the States, now make your conclusion...engineered by Controllers, built by Americans.

Not to much in common with the original brand with cars invented, developed and mounted by experienced old men with no other hobbies but beeing ultra-precise perfectionists and Daimler itself.

It's not a job, Daimler is an attitude, just as many other german quality brands you never even heard of as well.

  • tears in my eyes, amazing

  • i have a 1973 280c, and i will have it untill the day i die

  • The most respectful Name in the automobile industry is MERCEDES - BENZ. I am a MB user forever.

  • Its true what they say... once youve followed the star, you never go back- 1980 300SD 201000 miles, 1981 240D 312000 miles (sold), 2005 ML500 48000 miles, 1999 ML320 160000 miles (sold).

  • Does anyone have any info on the soundtrack to this commercial? It's great.

  • @danders76 It is especially created by Mercedes for this clip and the shorter advert version.

  • ı have a w123 230 ce 85 model and Im gonna have it untill the end never sell or give somebody to drive.

I love my car and ım sure that he loves mee too

  • i love this video so much.. it makes me want to go and drive my 1993 300E.

you wont see a commercial like this for lexus!! Mercedes-Benz for life!!!!

  • I love Mercedes-Benz

  • I LOVE MY JOB ¡¡¡¡¡¡¡¡

  • This video brings tears to my eyes...

so true, Mercedes Benz are unique!

    I love these cars

  • @megadriver6 It's so touching! I'm crying

  • @megadriver6 mercedes benz is the lord of all cars!!!!

  • Nice video. This kind of things are the ones that remind me how much I love my '87 w124 Turbodiesel. It has 294k miles and runs like the day she left the factory.

They are really like no other. Mercedes-Benz for life!!

  • @RussianNikolai hey, my brother has a 1987 w124 300d, same as yours his is silver with blue interior. i have a 1992 w124 300d 2.5 turbo, green and tan interior. his has 160k ish miles. mine has 285k they never give up.

  • i wanna go hug my W123 :(

  • this video gave me goose bumps.. and almost a tear... ;)

lovely car indeed unlike any other! :)

  • that gave me goose bumps...makes me think of all the memories of our mercedes benz

  • well looks like mercedes may have filled in a car for the 220D. The car shown is a 250 gasser, it was the only W115 made with the "double bar front bumper"

The guy's real 220s must not have in perfect shape cosmetically, so Mercedes could have used a better looking car.

  • once in a while i wonder if my benz is worth the maintenance it takes, but then it snows around here and I realize why i love this beauty! it is a tank when it comes to driving/handling etc.

  • mercedes are the best car builder in the world

  • This ad brings a tear to my eye. Since I was young I've always wanted a 6.3 Grosser. I've recently round myself an absolutely imacculate 250se. Owned from new by an elderly couple that traveled a genuine 54000miles in it. serviced every 6 months since new. I promised the old owners that I would keep this up along with its sunday wash, polish and vacuum. I also promised that I would take a moment whenever I can to just sit and stare at it's beauty.

  • the w108? its the most beautiful veteran mercedes ive seen! :) sounds like a real nice classic u have.. would u upload a video on youtube? should be awesome! :)

Greetz from a BIG Mercedes fan in Sweden :D

  • just got a W209 mercedes CLK, very good car, I hope it lasts me up to 400,000+!

  • don't count on it, the computer will probably fail before that.

  • epic..

  • They are truly amazing automobiles. My first car was a Mercedes 240D Euro spec. I have had many other cars as well (Inifiniti, jaguar. Audi ETC) Yet Every time I would bring those cars home for the first time, I would look in the garage, see my beautiful, trusty, sturdy Mercedes-Benz parked and decided that "she has earned that spot". No car I have owned compares To Mercedes Quality. I am a Mercedes Driver For life. They truly are "Unlike any other"

  • i bought my W124 300 diesel 14 years ago and cant ever see myself driving anything else, a truly magnificent car.

  • Sent chills down my spine.. I love my Mercedes

  • i cried.

  • i did to

  • then i wen't out to my car and rubbed it down with some mothers carnauba wax.

    i love my car

  • was it a benz

  • of course, my 16 valve head turner.

then i took it and the SDL out for some exercise

  • Such a wonderful clip yet so very true. Go mercedes!

  • Mercedes-Benz > Other Cars

  • You got that right! I can't imagine even driving, let alone owning anything but another Benz. My 1992 190E 2.6 still runs like a tank even after 168,000 miles. Even the seats in it are still fresh and springy!

    Mercedes Benz FTW!

  • Just an update: I recently found out that the 1-million+-mile 280SE shown near the end of the video was actually bought back by Mercedes for display in their museum in California.

  • really i know a taxi driver with a 2 760 300mile E230.

    Its a 97 W210

only had the gearbox rebuilt once.

  • Yeah, I wonder about that too. I have 329,000 miles to go before I hit a million on the old SD, so if you're around in 20 years, I'll let you know, lol!!! A picture of the one in the video is on MB's website, and it says there that it was bought back.

And that other comment above, the 2,760,300-mile car, sounds like an exaggeration of the 1976 240D that Mercedes has on their website which is a Greek taxi with 2.8 million miles. MB says it's the highest mileage on an MB that they're aware of.

  • wow i am surprised they showed any diesels, I thought us Americans were supposed to HATE diesels. But i am glad they did show them, as I love the old diesel mercs

    What a great commercial

  • I agree, I'm glad they included the 220D. I had a chance to buy a 1970 220D in perfect condition several years ago for $700, and I'm STILL kicking myself for not buying it. My '84 SD turned over 666K miles the other day, still going. Love my diesels!!

  • Mercedes is going back to making bullet proof machines. Our 1999 S430, has had a few niggles. But when it works, its a stunning machine

  • mercedes for life :X

  • me 2

  • this make me cry

  • This is one awesome video. Thank you so much for posting it. Watched it 6 times. I've driven old MB diesels for many years, and this video really meant something to me. My OLD 1984 300SD has 665K miles, and I'm still driving it daily. We too are a Mercedes family for life. We have four oldies, mine, the wife's and the kids'.

Seems like current buyers don't appreciate the heritage of MB, just as MB tossed it out the window themselves, in the last 15 years or so. Thanks again!

  • I'm happy to hear this, keep that SD running!

  • This is so cool!! Love u Mercedes!!

  • I think MB is back to where it once was...or at least is headed in that direction. The 2007 S-Class, the 2008 C-Class, and the 2010 E-Class demonstrate the dedication MB has in becoming what they once were. Beautiful machines!!!

  • but i MUST disagree with the comment "It is better than what Mercedes used to be", mercs are far superior in any way shape or form...Sorry but this is true!, many merc owners will support me here!

  • I WILL

  • My father drives mercs since the 60s. And the last 10 years the quality has gone downhill. My wife drives a new A-class ... the MB promise of improved quality ... However loads of costly repairs within the first 2 years. I drive a Toyota Landcruiser ... It is better than what Mercedes used to be.

  • yeah it sucks, but now chrysler is gone and mercs stand alone once more we WILL see quality improve to the heady days of the W116, W126 and anything pre 91

  • i have a w126...mercedes forever

  • Me Too! I love mine!

    Mercedes > Other Cars

  • Mercedes is faithfull, ive got a W124.125.

once a mercedes, allways mercedes.. And please, dont compair a mercedes with a civic, its the wrong forum...

  • AMEN! LOL!!!

  • To all the people who have mentionned statistics, yes Mercedes had a blip between 2000 and 2005 but from what I have also read it is back to normal now! Mercs are as strong as they were before! Go out and buy your Mercedes-Benz without worrying, hope you many happy memories with it and I hope the car last you a lifetime! Peace from a Renault fan who has the deepest respect for anything Mercedes

  • no it was actually 1998-2002, a bit shorter and was not really a mistake more than a cost cutting measure to stay alive and not bankrupt.

  • Yes, because the Toyota/Lexus where building really cheap cars & everyone was buying them.

But even the 98-02 cars are better than any shitty toyota/lexus!

  • well thats a given, Mercedes have never built a car to RIVAL another brand, other brands have built cars to rival mercedes

  • beautiful ad. if only new mercs were as good.

  • lo mejor que hay en vehiculos

  • BEAUTIFUL VIDEO. literally beautiful.

  • I love my 1989 Mercedes Benz 300CE. I feel lucky to have her be my first car. While all my friends have thier new Toyotas and Hondas I know my car is the one for me. And dare I say its far more superior than a puny Civic. I am Mercedes for life.

  • I have a 97 Civic that I believe it is indeed the most faithful car in the world. Yet one time a friend let me drive his W124 200D. It's power is nowhere near my Civic... yet I well and truly felt like a King. I also drove a 2004 C200, yet I didn't feel as good as I felt in that well kept 200D. That car convinced me, my next car will be a Merc :)

  • I cant help but get weepy when i watch this. Especially the family that was in an accident and walked away. A civic may be reliable but if i get hit i wanna be in my

    mercedes-Benz S600!

  • An S600? You lucky son of a gun.

    I have a 300SDL. (An '87)

  • Comment removed

  • hehe the 200D has the 75hp engine but u should not underrestimate it! my first car WILL be a w124!! i dont want another car! my dads first was a 200 -72 and then we´ve had a -94 E 320 (best car i ever seen) and now w210 270 cdi. my grandpa always had Mercedes from 190D -62 , 300D -77 , w124 230E -88 and now w210 E 240. and even my grand grandpa had a 170S from early 50´s so i can just say Mercedes is in my blood! :D

  • @coolakiIlen007 When I was a very young schoolboy in Dublin in the mid 1950s, my father was very sick one day, so we ordered a taxi to drive me to school. When it came it was a blue 180 D Mercedes Benz taxi. (Most taxis here are much cheaper cars). I was delighted. Even though the modern Mercedes are different !!!!!! I have always loved Mercedes Benz as my favourite car. The new E Class in either dark burgundy red or black with light beige interior in both cases is superb.

  • yes i agree. the old veteran mercedes is really beautiful! thanks for responding.

  • @coolakiIlen007 w124 300d 2.5 turbo my first car =]

  • much love for w124, beautyfull car, I adore it

    E500 and coupe version specially

  • This sure is a beautiful ad, but it simply doesn't apply to modern Mercedes, as statistics have shown.

  • Makes me love my car even more. I have an old 114. Beautiful.

  • my 1991 300E 4Matic has been in my family scence new and it still drives with 690,889 miles on it till this day it runs strong and will last forever

  • bmw? ROFL

  • I must agree. My 328is and I are getting married.

  • Beat that BMW.

P.S. I'm talking about the cars, not comercials!

  • This video is mostly about quality and BMW WHOOPS Mercedes in quality... That's just a fact. Consumer reports ranks BMW as the 3rd Highest Quality Brand. Mercedes is much lower than that.

  • Old Mercs are unbeatable. BMW or any other would not even exist without MB. And if new Mercs are not so good, it is not the engineers' fault. It is because Jurgen Schrempp, the director, merged it with chrysler to show Mercedes-Benz engineers how to make lower quality cars. They were expensive in the past but they were durable and nice to drive. The new ones are MUCH more expensive, but... the quality hurts...

  • Ya don't say, so where is BMW's high mileage club? How come you never see any 20+ year old Beemers in traffic anymore? My friend had a 86 325es but when it got over 200K miles it started driving like every next mile might be its last. By my recollection I have yet to see any BMW older than the E30 era still out on the streets and drivable. If BMWs are that good, where are all the old ones? I never see any BMWs on the streets older than the early '80s save for a restored 2002ti now and then.

  • Frankly the older BMW's look hideous, the older Mercs are true beauties!

  • I am with you there. I hate how they have the grilles all bunched up and slanted in the really old BMWs. And any Beemer from the Bangle era looks like pure shit. The sadder part is once BMWs started looking like this many other carmakers followed suit resulting in crap styling across most brands.

That is another reason I like Mercedes, even when they redesign the cars they incorporate more than a few features from the prior version so there is visual continuity to the entire lineup over time.

  • @ScubaSteveM45 : Well... I love Mercedes, but name the features Merc pulls through to the next model.

BMW = Hoffmeister Kink, Dual Kidney Grills, Angel Eyes or Dual Beam Headlights, 50/50 Weight Distribution, Side Styling Kink from Headlight to Tailight.

  • @NealPratt @NealPratt How about the upright radiator grille seen on almost every Mercedes sedan since the 1900's.....Oh, thats right BMW only started buliding cars in 1927.....and they never have particularly reliable, have they? Did the first BMW sedan have angel eyes? Funny how BMW used to build all their cars to copy Mercedes....See many old BMW's around? I rarely see anything older than a 1990 or so....but just the other day at Wal-Mart I saw three pre 1985 Mercedes....

  • you carry the most valid point well done!

  • Mercedes-Benz-----> BMW, Mercedes is a much more accomplished brand in every way,

  • this makes me cry ;-.D

    (L)

  • makes me proud to be a MB owner.

    :)

  • yehhh :)

  • The first time I saw this video I got in my W201 and took it for a car wash and then waxed it.
