one thing that really impressed me in this video was the way they 'put on' those glasses everytime they demonstrated something. cause there's only one picture, one screen and glasses usually have two lenses so they had to somehow blend them as they put em on. i thought that was impressive video-editing.

There is one serious problem with this invention, ignoring a problem such as trash or bad weather does -not- get rid of the problem, second people would be using these while driving leading to a increase in accidents on the road due to distractions.

The concept is decent to say the least but I believe this group needs to take a better look at the possible repercussions of their potential product.

Why not be proactive and do some volunteer work cleaning up the neighbourhood? for example instead of photoshopping the trash away do some clean-up. Kind of a useless invention i think. Unless it is merely a recreational invention idea

This is a BIG future Augmented Reality idea. It will no doubt be possible someday in the near future, certain HMD companies are getting closer to it. And their glasses are almost as small as normal sunglasses.

I read Rainbows End recently, the characters in it use Augmented Reality in this way, all the time. The possibilities are limitless.

Alright, so I guess I'll be the hater. There is something so nakedly "committee think" about this video that it smacks of a vanilla advertising 101 class project. There is absolutely nothing clever or novel about the idea, presentation or the execution. It's a poor execution of an idea that would have been cliche 10 years ago. Challenge my believes, stir my emotions, provoke some interesting thoughts, make something artistic and creative next time. This completely misses the mark.

Actualy,the editing isnt so hard.

The tricky bit is getting glass's able to overlay images with variable opacity.

Theres specs out this year that can "add' light to what you see (Vuzix iWrap), but they couldnt draw, say, a black line over your viewpoint.

To get true-colour specs which have perfect focus, decent res and good tracking technology is the goal.

These sorts of ideas have been depicted in some books, Rainbows End, Halting State, etc, but its nice to see a video of them.

The photoshop analogy is a powerful one to express the concept of a paintable world.

The next step is for the "layers" of the world to be shareable, so people can contribute to world views.

I doubt this can be made, but I was thinking maybe if this can use toward the "entertainment" direction. Say you put the glasses on, what you see, is in a 3d world that that make everything that can block your way, like sofa or table, into obstacles in the game, and you actually would feel like you live in the game!
