  • it was still nice but probaly when you arranged your stars they moved around or didnt ignite properly

  • Also make sure your burst is ignited centrally. If you ignite the burst from the bottom of the shell, the force will not be exerted on all stars equally and will produce a lopsided pattern. Use a flash tube (sealed cardboard tube with BP) if necessary to get the fire from the end of your time fuse to the burst at the center. That way you don't need an abnormally long time fuse reaching into the center of the shell. Good luck.

  • That is what I have been told by some of the guys on the forums, but I haven't had the chance to try it that way yet. In this shell (not knowing what I was doing), I had made a heart shaped paper and cardboard "tray" to put the stars into, which was filled with burst charge. Then, the "tray" was inserted into a plastic ball shell. If I ever try this again in the future I will try just squeezing the stars between the normally filled hemis like you are suggesting.

  • how did u arrange the stars, all you have to do is fill up both hemis to the brim with your burst charge, then put the pattern in the centre, paste as you would paste a normal round shell

  • looks pretty though :)
