I really like Sen Brownback. I interviewed him in SC following the debates. What impressed me was that in person he presents so much better tv. He is probably the most personable of the candidates. Romney on abortion: He has ALWAYS been personally pro-life, but after a family tragedy (his sister-in-law died from an illegal abortion) he came to the conclusion that people should be allowed to choose for themselves.

However, when he saw that this was leading to embryo farming and a total devaluation of human life, he decided Roe v. Wade needed to be overturned. Reagan and H.W. Bush were also pro-choice and changed their minds before becomming presidents.

They were viewed as children of God like anyone else. Mormons were almost exterminated, largely because they were against slavery, in Missouri/Illinois in the 1800s.

Blacks could not hold the priesthood in the Mormon faith until the 1970s, but now can. There is no good explanation for this. However, in the Old Testament only the tribe of Levi could hold the priesthood.

In any case, Blacks have always been accepted by Mormons.
