What has been terrifyingly clear for quite some time is that the US govt. is not concerned with ANYBODY's rights, regardless of nationality , ethnicity or actions. Rachel Corrie and now Bradley Manning are well known examples, as is Liu Xiaobo, the Nobel Peace Prize winner in prison in China. The US govt is politely mum about human rights abuses, including their own.
