Most people didn't even know it was a tsunami, when the water was sucked out initially, many people ran out into the beach to collect the fish from the sand. By the time the water began rushing in quickly and silently, it was too late for most people.

Most tourists have never been in a tsunami, and most people would not know the characteristics of one. It is very easy to sit on your computer and make a comment like that. :P
