I work at an English kindergarten and every week about 50 parents have no problem entrusting their kids to us "gaijin freaks" for 5 hours, 4-5 days a week. I go to karaoke with Japanese people all the time, and go to Japanese-Korean conversation groups regularly. Everyone seems pretty friendly and tolerant. Maybe the problem is with you.

What are you out to prove? The only thing Japanese people want us to do, especially the gaijin freaks living in Japan, is to keel over.
