Another of my favorite DTVs! I haven't the heart to tell my husband that when we hear this song by the group Na Leo this video is what runs through my head! :) Mahalo for posting!
The Golden Oldies video release of this song has the label of the song and such a bit differently, but the song and the clip selections are EXACTLY the same.
Oh, and did you know that this song was created by Richard and Robert Sherman?
I noticed that too, then forgot...the Golden Oldies video does have just "Annette" and "Vista" instead of "Annette Funicello" and "Buena Vista." This one was taped from a cable broadcast.
Even a few cable broadcast use the Golden Oldies VHS labels. In addition to "Annette" and "Vista", the VHS label also has the two lines that accompany them switched, the text a bit darker and further away from each other (instead of crammed together like they are here) and the label simply cuts in on screen suddenly (and also cuts out), as opposed to fading in, like it does here.
I had the "Pineapple princess" in a tape i lost 17 years ago, i remembered the song, and that the clip involved all the cartoons set in hawai, but i couldn't watch the clip until NOW !!!! Thanks !!!

@disneyfan85 That's what I always say! I was crazy about Annette!!! And I'm only 21! But let's say that Miley is the new Annette! lol

@princessnu15 But at least Annette was in various movies, too, Disney and non-Disney alike (those "Beach" movies with Frankie Avalon, anyone?).

I think the Sherman Brothers wrote most of the songs Annette sings including my favorite "The Monkey's Uncle".

This song was taken from the LP "Hawaiiannette" and "Annette's Beach Party" on the Buena Vista label.

I had no idea that the most famous Mousketeer went on to become a singer!
Nintendomax 5 years ago
That's right. After her stint as a Mouseketeer, Walt had Annette under contract, hence why she stayed with Disney for a while.
