It may have been advantageous to use the gel for twists or twist-outs and the mousse for straightening for a blow out. It would have been great to see that outcome.
i only use holding/curl defining gels mixed with an oil or whipped shea butter for braidouts and twistouts to get acceptable results for my 4b hair...that may work for you
I just luv your hair. It seems like curl definers may not work for you b/c it looks like you have more of a wave pattern than a curl pattern. Either way, your hair is fab!
I tried the dc and I didn't like it because it made my hair feel coated. The curly to straight conditioner is pretty good. Curl cremes and mousse don't work for me. I use gels and activators.
thats so weird that no curl definers work for you...because to me, it looks like you have a curl pattern...but whatevs, your hair is fly regardless :)
just a suggestion maybe you should try smaller sections because i have hair something like yours and i have to use really small sections..great review
@workit718 Uh, yeah... I'm dying over here lol. No, but seriously, curls doesn't define my hair. I do so many different styles, so I could care less about a curl. :o)
I love Pantene. I've been using it since high school. It's one of the best off the shelf products you can use (if you aren't scared of the chemicals). I use it on my natural hair and it makes it so soft and really makes my curls pop. I have O's and S's (LOIS SYSTEM).
I've been using Pantene Products for 10 out of the 11 years of my being natural. I absolutely love their shampoo and conditioner. I think I may try to the curl definer and mouse.....just because. Funny, I just saw the products in my local rite-aid. Anyhoo.....thanks for the vid.
@g6ka01 The curl definer (mousse) and curl shaper (gel) did not work for MY hair and I said that and also showed that in the video.
One of the reasons why I always show myself using the product is so the viewer can SEE how the products looks in my hair and see my first initial reaction. I say all of that to say that my reviews are always honest. Thanks for watching!
I just love your "oh well-I'm OK" attitude about curl defining. Girl I was madly obsessed with curls when I first started transitioning, but I've learned the key is just to make it "do what it do!" LOL Great video as always.
to be honest i dnt think its just your hair i have 3c 4a my curls are tight coils i used the mousse 2 different ways wet and dry my hair was still frizzy. The mousse sucks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I love your video, your hair type looks like mine 4c. What's your type?

Pantene also has a 2 in 1 Shampoo & Conditioner in the Curly line that I like to use. I'm a short cut kind of gal. <3
