This was a great documentary. I feel like I am like Jeb was before he found base jumping. Nothing has meaning and i'm bored with life. I already went skydiving once and it was awesome but I really want to do wingsuit flying. It may be just gliding, but "you feel like your flying."

I was scared of the dark a bit, so I went alone into the backcountry Sierras for a few weeks, and more. It's the overcoming of the fear, like Jeb says.

on stage 6 of my aff course , you finally do a solo jump. the feeling if being alone and in control of where you went and what direction you tracked in was beyond words > After landing I couldnt help but sit down, with my rig billowing around me and for the first time in close to 20 years , I cried ! Jeb , thank you for giving me the courage to swallow my fear and giving me a reason to live .

what he says after 7:00 brought me tears of happiness. I'm doing rock climbing and I'd just love to jump of it. I'm also soaring and I feel just so free when I'm doing stuff that scares the hell out of me. When I'm a bit older I'm going to have a skydive course and eventually I will be flying a wing-suit. I completely agree with tree6014, to have that feeling is just... you can't describe. Agree!

1 second ago I symphatize with Jeb. I also was an outcast while growing up and know what it feels to hate yourself for being born. This man gave me the inspiration I've been looking for. I took up skydiving recently and it changed my life... not sure if I'll take up proximity flying, but def gonna try wingsuit diving! Bottom line is... we're all gonna die someday. You can either choose to live life (perhaps while risking death), or you can play it safe and exist without ever living.

Wow, at 2:11 , I don't see a way out of that. Looks like he had to completely level off or even climb to escape impact. This guy is definitely one crazy sob. I think the part about being 5' from the cliff is over exaggerated though. Incredible visuals! I respect his pursuits, but i think its lacking. He defines himself through fear and a very superficial understanding of life, its inspiring to watch (mostly because of the music and visuals) but only because it is relating to someone growing further as a person, not because he has a gift to share with the world. Jeb is one of the most inspirational people I know of. He is really up there with Michael Jordan in terms of inspiration. He went from no reason to live and completely suicidal to one of the most inspirational people on the planet. What he says after 7:00 really brings tears to my eyes because I feel similar feelings. I am just graduating from college and am going to pursue my dreams and increase upon my 77 skydives and then start BASE jumping and living my dreams.

@tree6014 but the only reason in my opinion he does these dangerous flights is beause he was suicidal and so he decided that because he wanted to dies it might as well be for something he liked. so really he just went from being suicidal to having a death wish.

@tree6014 I feel the same way. My passion for flight is however in aircraft. I am in second year engineering, and have been designing my own highly maneuverable, low cost jet for the past year and a half after dreaming of something like it for years. I will fly, and nothing can get in the way of that. It's a shame how often people try to stop us, but I feel bad for them; they are wasting their lives. People like us have dreams, and what in the world could be more important than living them!!

@superhornet59 Thanks for the comment. I graduated and am aggressively pursuing this now. I have 311 skydives including 84 wingsuit flights now and have also started base jumping. I'm making about 50 wingsuit flights a month now. Have a Shadow and also have an X-Bird 2 on the way and plan to have 500+ wingsuit flights and be proximity flying next year. tree6014 was my old channel. Check out my ForrestDix channel. Was practicing gainers off the Perrine Bridge in Idaho a month ago. Hope to go to Norway some time next year still. Also got my USPA coach rating and am becoming a wingsuit instructor.
