this closure had the opposite effect on all LA freeways it seems...reminded me that back in 1994 when the Northridge quake caused the 10 fwy to shut down...which is by far more traffic than the 405, for 3 months. It was scheduled for 6 month closure...yet it seemed like we got through that far bigger problem with a lot less fanfare.

I drove near the supposed carmageddon area. It was the smoothest flow of traffic in LA history.
