@desmythe UK pop star of the early sixties; The Beatles were a support band to him at several concerts when his was the bigger name; film star; very good friend of Mr Harrison's; daughter Sam Brown has esteemed pop career also.

ive been looking for years for this to be posted geeeeeeez, i remember watching this late at night on tv ,i cried my eyes out then , as well as now theres a sense of facination and awe with this so packed with emotion for a fantastic musican and human being ty for posting this
@buzzbox2nd Due to the stupid YouTube 'upgrade' I can't even tell what country you are from. Anyway, I never saw this appear on British terrestrial TV.
Love the part at 1:42 where Dhani leans on Eric Clapton's shoulder and gets a hug. Made me cry! I remember watching this on TV, and I just thought this last song was so touching.
I don't know why, but for some reason I love that it's Joe Brown who gets to play the last song at the Concert for George. It's such a warm-hearted performance and, even though it doesn't sound like the sort of music we usually associate with George, it's a sweet send-off to the man.
@kriswright I agree, Joe did such a lovely job it warmed the cockles of my heart :) As for your second point, this is exactly the sort of music that George would have grown up with after the war. All the Beatles would have sung these sort of melancholic songs and I think it's a perfect song for the occasion.
@gards2 you are correct about the style of this song being appropriate, plus George was a ukelele fanatic, tho he could play anything with strings.... a fitting end to a superb and well produced concert
this song was one of georges all time favourites and i expect joe inspired him to do it. which he did many many times so far as i know
