@talpajam Noel redding switched from guitar to bass when he failed to get hired by eric burdon to join the experiance justin hayward joined the moody blues when he failed to get hired by eric burdon
@spacepatrolman before mitch mitchell was in the experiance he was in a group with vic briggs where every guy in the group has to wear a jacket with the lead singers initials on it
@ Rolli, I toured Europe many times on Blues and Jazz tours and we always looked forward to working with German crews. The sound was always excellent. Thanks, an American musician.
at this time there were no sound technicians with mixing consoles in the ballroom. In most cases the engineers placed two or four mics (very often Sennheiser HD 421or Neumann) in front of the stage (distance 30 feet) and recorded instruments and the voices of the singer on tapemachines. Well I hope, that I could answer your question.
@Salguine Oh wow you saw it too!!! I noticed it the other day but didn't say anything, at first blush he looks like Edie Sedgwick, then Bowie then, yes... Miss Hathaway !! Good call.
What a clean-cut Roy! In fact they all look and sing like angels-....
and play like demons!!

@TheRockingRolli Any idea how they recorded this? There's no mics in front of the amps, but they're obviously playing live.

From 4:25 to 4:38, Ace looks uncannily like Miss Hathaway from "The Beverly Hillbillies".
