Scream is way better than most slasher films like Friday the 13th because of the Scooby Doo/Psycho feel to it and most of the films in the series didn't turn out as bad as most of the sequels did in other slasher series. I really hope they make a Scream 5 and Scream 6.

@03bgood I do not, Scream 4 was disapointing.

Friday the 13th is a lot better, one of the best horror movies and Jason Voorhees, one of the best characters.

I like Scream, but the first Scream is the best ones, I don't like the other ones to much.

Ghostface, a murderer who wears black costumes and kill people (In the first movies the boyfriend).

The other killers are just random killers, wannabe's, to be exact.

Jason is a child who drowned and became a freak, a murderer when he grew up.

@mastermary2 Well F13 had four bad sequels (A New Beginning, Jason Takes Manhattan, Jason Goes To Hell, and Jason X) while Scream had it's bad 3rd installment of course F13 had about 11 films (12 if you count the remake) while Scream currently has only 4 films. The Scream series will someday be as repetitive as F13 series though.

@mastermary2 I VERYYYYYYYYY AGREE with you! FINALLY someone who understands writing and scripts.....dont get me wrong screams are fun..but honestly the 4th one was a HOT MESS! Like they didn't even try. The actors were horrible. Jill Roberts...really? looool Emma should never act. It was just bad. Jason/Michael will always be the best. Ghostface is smart and fun to watch though=)

@riceball7100 Well, that's one thing that's awesome about at least the first 2 films in this series: Everything is staged so that, until the last 20 minutes of the movie, ANYBODY, even our favorite characters, are looked upon as potential killers.
