I find it amazing how apathetic people are to the fact the corporations own the world. They observe criticism of one particular event, and their response is, "Yeah, so what? The government does that, too." or "Big deal. This is capitalism. Business as usual."
How come people aren't more pissed off, not just about this Burger King thing, but about all of it? Why don't people care that this system ruins the lives of the vast majority of people and animals in this world?
i don't understand the arguments on this. can some explain it to me? every day there are comercials on tv with over the top marketing campaigns and most are staight up lies. like take this medicine for a cough or something stupid and then a month later they are recalling it because it can cause a heartattack seizures stroke etc. all comercials are for is to draw attention to that product and the most common denominator in at lest the last ten years is to be way over the top.
Are you some kind of moron? Are you actually trying to convince me or anyone else for that matter that McDonalds has a better marketing campaign? Whether or not you like McDonalds or Burger Kind better... you got to give it to Burger Kings marketing managers, etc. Any one commercial that raises a companies sales 20% is by far a great campaign. So get over it.
Burger King set out to create a commercial advertising their product. That is what they did, and it was an interesting idea. Mission accomplished. get over it. this is such a sad hot bed of overreaction its pathetic.
They should try the Philippines. About 90% in the PI in my opinion know what is burgers. But believe me, about 50/60 percent cannot afford burgers. And about 50% atleast has never try eating burgers because its very expensive. This ads is so outrageous and upsetting - how big giant like BK is introducing their burgers is tasty than of other brands. Also, most countries that they visited were developing countries where food are exported for an extravagant net income. The recipient? Yes, u got it!
I dont get your point. The problem is about BK commercials, most of the places that they visited were burgers-illiterate. They showed that they are happy people when eating the BK burgers. When in fact, if they tried that in a well-known literate people. I do not think they will do that, because they all know its about net profiting. Why would send 20% checks to them? When in reality, the globalists are doing their fine job to use some of my money for their interest. Look at your checks, taxes!
Really? You still don't have any problem with capitalism. LOL, I would hate to see what kind of apocalyptic calamity has to lay ruin to your life before you begin to have some doubts, to "have a problem." Remarkable.
Im very against their commercial, because it encourage a structure of giant business and to further grow more. This eliminate competitions, and they reduces wages especially in a developing countries where every labor is forced and paid at very minimum wages. With this, they are less responsible of the environments, this always happens in a rural and urban areas in a developing countries. For example like Youtube, bought by Google; with their interest. They restricted some of the features, why?!
Shattering one's teeth with a Whopper is the least of one's problem! How about the industrial meat that isn't really meat at all but full of chemicals?!
The guy that says "it costs millions to make this and these countries are 30% impoverished blah blah blah...." why dont you look at your own government before you pass judgment on Burger king... we give israel millions of dollars every day to kill and bulldoze innocent people and their homes! I done see him complain about anything important or relevant (how much does the average commercial cost...) i know menards spent 277million on ads last year alone... so whats a few mill on 1 ad.....
it's not that the u.s. gives anybody any money to "kill and bulldoze" innocent people. the u.s. government itself has always spent millions to kill innocent people around the globe...
Oh, boo-hoo! It's a brilliant ad, and it's not Burger Kings fault that there are some backward, third-world cultures out there. It's not like they went to Darfur to swat flies off some starving person so they could try a burger.
I don't see it as a "brilliant" ad, but then again I despise all ads. I have more of a problem with the "backward, third-world cultures"...if BK was looking for some, it would never have to leave the mainland U.S. Anyway, that was just a quip; there is no such thing as "backward".
I love how people wore their "traditional, typical, folkloric" costumes just to eat these burgers, as if they were all at some Disney reenactment in tribute to the world's cultures.
The head of marketing for BK is full of shit. BK did this to boost their sales. If the places BK went to in these commercials have plenty of food why doesn't BK show us proof of that?
ever notice that everyone we disagree with we allege to live in their parents' basement? If it were true (and I can only dream of such a privilege) vast cities would consist of pyramid-shaped houses, with huge basements packed with people.
i guess it is not enough that B.K. is killing americans with their food. I personally find it despicable. Besides if these people never taasted a burger, how would they know what it is supposed to taste like.
Exactly. And now BK has found the remaining 1% of the world's population that isn't yet hooked in some way on their legal crack. I may be getting over-emotional with this, but something just smacks of 'wrong' with this whole experiment.
Those darn whoppers they served the people in the vids look twice as big than the ones I bought in my local BK. It also looks fresher and has more vegetables; in stark contrast to the microwaved, lukewarm mess I ate.

Maybe you should do something about it instead of bitching on a fucking youtube video. Send 20% of your paychecks to them. Why not?

thats not a fair comparison anyways, not choosing one side ofer the other.
But wouldn't it be a better comparison if it was a whopper to a quarter pounder with cheese??
