To worship a creature as a God/Goddess Mother is Idolatry just as the Protestants say. But as Catholics we give Mary veneration of hyper dulia which is the highest veneration one can give to any creature. She is not a Goddess but the only Mother of God the Son by virtue of being the human mother of the Person of Jesus the Man-God
The B.V.M. is the Mediatrix of all graces. Chosen by God from the beginning of time like you & me expect we don't have the gift of bearing God in the flesh. All her gifts come to her as a creature from the graces flowing from Christ's redemption of mankind. All her privileges were granted from the future to the past bec. God is outside of time. She is not Almighty but mighty powerful before God seeing she is the Mother of the Second Person of the Trinity. To give her more is verging on Heresy
