waist size has little to do with wearing the tight fitting jeans. It dpends on yer comfort level. I lost weight and I'm down to size 30 and I notice that the baggy clothes I used to wear seem to look/feel ridiculous. So I've started wearing skinny jeans. I seem to have a better feel for a 30 by 31 (514 Levi's). I don't know your height but I wouldn't get one that's any longer than 31.
