  • @scalawaggywakyman i love this song, but I have no clue really. I kinda want to say its about a lesbian girl but that might be reaching

  • @scalawaggywakyman Lasagna. It's about Lasagna.

  • Peon Likes The Knife and Lasagna too.

  • I'm hungry now?

  • yes, bjørk is the only one with scandinavian english dialect...

  • @scullyy what the hell does that mean

  • @federicalee people compare with bjørk just because of the dialect. which isnt that uncommon in the north

  • the knife ... dalla parte del manico

  • only the Knife could make a song that uses both the words "lasagna" and "death", and still sound cool.

  • 28 people ran out of weed.

  • @quiksilvermbd 1,064 people must be smoking dope, Riiiight.

  • @outblastt lol, omfg there are probably 2000 people smoking weed within the two counties i live around.....hahaha,,,,,3 out of 5 Americans adults(not counting teens and shit) admitt...just admit to smokeing weed....imagen how many would because you know there are those that do but don't admit it.....lol.......so yeah alot of people smoke weed(news flash its natural and is a medicine in almost every way)

  • @gwataleechy Stricnine is natural, tobacco.. allot of things. Does not mean there good for you. Thats why they call it dope...dope.

  • @outblastt : MJ doesn't give you cancer. It can be used I've heard to treat cancer, as well as sleeping disorders. The only reason it's illegal is because prison contractors get rich off people being in prison for frivolous bullshit.

  • @Nagneto Straight up BS. Two of my own family members have gotten cancer from smoking Marijuana. Your comment is ridiculous and pisses me off.

  • @outblastt Sorry kid, your teachers are lying to you. There has NEVER been ANY form of documentation, research, evidence, or case's to show that Marijuana in its natural form causes Cancer. That's the THC mind you. Smoke and smoking ON THE OTHER HAND, IS harmful to the body. Most specifically from the paper smoked. It's safer than tabacco (which is legal for some reason) and cig companies dump all kinds of chemicals in to regular cigs to keep people addicted. Smoking causes cancer, not the weed.

  • @outblastt Lol, you retarded bro? Sounds like something your parents made up to keep you from smoking marijuana. Please educate yourself before voicing your garrish opinions.

  • @kleebebe I smoked weed since 1990. I then realize it was just dumbing and slowing me down. In this economy, people need to be at the top of there game not dumbing them self down period. Weed sucks . Its total usa bull shit propaganda. I bet if it was legal, like in Holland 90% of the people wouldn't be smoking it. Fact is marijuana has twice the amount of the same chemicals that are in tobacco . Not to mention inhaling burning hot ash and smoke.

  • @outblastt Watch "The Union" then get back to me. You haven't played the devil's advocate fully to form a well-rounded argument; your opinion is still premature with not nearly enough research from both sides.

  • @outblastt I could not have said it better my self kleebebe. For The the rest of the sheeple; they can ruin there mind and body's all they want. There's no changing there brainwashed propagandized minds.

  • Loved, loved, loved this in "The Kids Are Alright". :)

  • uh i love The Knife and this song, Hipster hate on other Hipsters if they like a band they don't like.....to call the knife untalented is rediculous....go back and listen to kings of leon please.

  • @PreppieBoy

one of the best replies i´ve seen :)

  • @regisit1 thanks

  • sounds like Björk

  • @thecritiquevirtuoso they are from iceland, singing in english, its bound to sound sorta similar

  • Comment removed

  • @thecritiquevirtuoso your comment is invalid.

  • @Panandabear

    ...okay....

  • At least we can all agree they're better musicians than we are.

  • La - Sagna(arsenal RB)

  • Is that the girl from Lamb?

  • Oh, and the term knock-off often states that you are insulting, so yes, the assumption that you were implying that THE KNIFE isn't talented, isn't questionable.

    Just saying.

  • @Panandabear I am not scared to say the The Knife isn't talented. If i held that view i would have said it. I am glad that you two are so offended by an opinion about a group that you like. I envision you as hipster fanboys. Try to broaden your musical taste.

  • @drewh666 My musical horizon well expanded. It's quite a bold statement for you to make that assumption with no knowledge to justify. Either way, that isn't the case - I was simply stating my own opinion against another. So with all due respect, if you wish to say The Knife isn't talented, feel free. But to compare them and say they are a "knock of" I believe is untrue. Then again, who am I to say. Just keep in mind, I am also quite the fan of Bjork.

Hipsters hate hipsters for being hipster.

  • karin is in her own league

  • @kaijurajinx

you can say whatever you like- but while the subject matter may be somewhat unique, the vocal stylings certainly are not.

  • the different part of this song are bedded like in lasagna. it´s also kind of flabby : )

  • Well, Drew, Scandinavians have this accent. This is a great album. They sound nothing like Bjork, if you knew anything about Swedish music. Bjork is from Iceland.

  • Well, Drew, Scandinavians have this accent. This is a great album. They sound nothing like Bjork, if you knew anything about Swedish music. Bjork is from Iceland.

  • @swanny2070 I must disagree. I am glad that i am tolerant and realize that some people just don't have the ability to recognize similar voicings and styles in songs. It is similar to one being tone deaf. Being a musician, i am rather confident in my musical ear. Furthermore, knowing about Swedish music has nothing to do with knowing that this sounds like Bjork. You kind of made my point anyways. Iceland is a Scandinavian country and "Scandinavians have this accent". It is not entirely about

  • @drewh666 the accent either. It is about the range of the vocals. It is not unique. It was unique when Bjork did it.

  • @drewh666 I don't understand how music industry has the pressure that they've got to be unique. They don't need it to make a point with their music. Maybe Björk found her technique from another source? Is she still unique then to you? She and Karin Dreijer are equally talented artists. The Knife and Fever Ray make music because it's an art to them, clearly they're experimenting with sounds and compositions not for the purpose of becoming more interesting or more famous, but surely because

  • @6HagareNo6Yumi6 of what the result will be. Björk creates for a purpose too, wheither it be similiar to The Knife's or completely different. I'm rather sure they'd tut over your comment thinking "what does it matter?" because you seem to be the only here offended by the thought of them bearing similiar styles.

  • @6HagareNo6Yumi6 "The Knife and Fever Ray make music because it's an art to them..." -- Any musician makes music because it is an art to them. Also, i never once said it offended me; i could honestly care less. The Knife is not the best pair of musicians that have ever existed. They are one in a million. The fact is that this song could be titled as a Bjork song and no one would notice.

  • @drewh666 I disagree man if you are a fan of either Bjork or The Knife you could pick up the differnce.

  • @drewh666 it's because of your own ( may be too poor ) musical culture and because of a very talented girl that sings on an electronic track..and in this area you had just one reference: that was bjork.

  • @Xpandou say what you will. bjork was my only reference because that is what this sounds like! what the fuck are you trying to say? i didnt say that she wasnt talented. i said that this sounds a lot like bjork. not everyone of the knife's songs do, but this one definitely does. if you cant hear that then maybe you should listen to more music.

  • @drewh666 You're very much entitled to your own opinion.

And with that being said, so am I. Therefore, I believe that you're a fucking idiot.

  • @drewh666 @drewh666 One single song out of dozens from their albums. Does When I Grow Up, We Share Our Mother's Health or Still Light sound similiar to Björk? No, I don't think so. Their vocals may resemble each other in some songs, but I have heard way too many bands with singers sounding alike, similiar music video, background beat or other things that I don't care. It's when everything combined seems IDENTICAL (which The Knife certainly don't) that it can be called knock-off.

  • sounds like she/they are trying to emulate bjork.

  • @youmintubes @drew666

Her singing style does sound similar to Bjork. But the sound is so different than Bjorks, music wise, I'd be a fool to say she was 'emulating' her.

  • i feel like making some lasagna

  • lasaniya

  • a po polsku ?

  • running around with a VCR?

  • @bluebellypunk Running around with Felicia :p

  • i want to like it, but it's hard to take a song called Lasagna seriously. sorry.

  • @DarrenTobia not all music is supposed to be serious

  • at first i thought it is Bjork :)

  • This scares me....

    <3 it O_o

  • wow...........I love the way she says : LASAGNA

  • Yoko Ono and Bjork combined Genes just a little...

  • I love how she says Charlotta!

  • I love her voice so much. It sounds motherly somehow.

  • älskar er

  • she almost sounds exactly like bjork

  • This is my favorite song to wash dishes to

  • @MistakenMantis ROFL! Epic comment.. simply epic! :D

  • mmm...Lasagna......i imagine myself eating my favorite dish as i listen to this amazingness.

  • mah pey mer da mi hoy

  • Funny, I'm having lasagna for dinner today ^-^

  • yumm

  • i think this song is about someone who made a crime, and instead of going to a jail for it, s/he committed a suicide (by drowning).

  • Comment removed

  • she sounds almost exactly like bjork.

  • @me700gnomes cant be 'almost exactly' sorry

  • @me700gnomes yep its true, you probably should have been taught that in grade 3, don't worry with practice you'll get there little fella.

  • @gotmyfingerrscrowsed I'm just baffled as to why some one would go out of there way to correct some one's incredibly minor grammatical error...on the internet. Really think about that for a few minutes every day until you have a revelation. And hopefully, you'll realize how much of a piece of s
