I went into this expecting pretentious cliche weird art. What I ended up getting was an incredibly interesting and well thought out piece and at the end of it all it left me incredibly emotionally affected. Granular synthesis is a tool used in music/audio design and apparently in video as well. It's where you take something and cut it up into hundreds and sometimes thousands of pieces, half of the sounds from the matrix sound effects were made from it. But you can do some crazy stuff with it.
