The show really had two issues that kept it from commercial success. The first was a lack of a real... Heart. Don't get me wrong, I LOVED the show, it's brilliant, own the dvd set and have watched and analyzed the unbelievably good writing multiple times... But unlike the west wing, it didn't feel like it stood for something larger than itself.

But, many popular shows have little heart. The real problem was marketing. NBC BUTCHERED it. I could hardly believe how badly they promoted/scheduled it

it's ironic though, how s60 was all about the struggle for sophisticated programming, but then this amazing and smart show gets cut short.

It's sad that quality tv brings in less viewers than crappy reality shows, but why do they have to cancel everything good and leave the poor more sophisticated viewers with nothing? On the Kevin Pollack show Matthew revealed the real reason why S60 didn't work. He also said that by episode 5 they knew it would not go any further than one season. Matty also said that he and Bradley keep in touch but doubt they will ever work together again as he said 'it would be weird', I disagree. They have amazing chemistry, I would love to see them work together again.

Yeah, the show only last 1 season in the US- it was cancelled due to low ratings. It lasted from 2006-2007.

It actually had higher ratings than 30 Rock, a show with a similar premise, but 30 Rock was cheaper to produce, so it stayed and Studio 60 got dropped.

The chemistry between these two guys is just AMAZING and it makes me INCREDIBLY sad to know that, since Studio 60 got cancelled, they probably won't be on screen together starring on a show ever again. poor ratings, the pilot got 12.5 million views or something and at the end it was averaging 4 million. If I remember correctly it was up against LOST and Heroes and big stuff like that. Also as much as love thiss show it was never as good as the west wing which I think the studio was banking on.

I love it when actors get punchy on press tours. You get hilarious things like this. Brad has such a warm sense of humor and I love how there's an honesty there.
