How about posting her professional background, what bands she was in before, what songs she auditioned to, how Nightwish selected her, what music she has written, what her inspirations are from for writing music, etc. She is a 30-something year old women who has held a remarkable career background. I do not hate Anette, but Tarja´s voice is unique. With or without Night wish.
Anette sounds more like a pop singer. Night Wish have had to change a little bit since Annette´s arrival. I love her too but it´s absurd to try to compare her voice to Tarja´s.
Any way I think she´s a good choice as replacement but she will never fit better than Tarja does. Neigther Anette, non any other one.

How about posting her professional background, what bands she was in before, what songs she auditioned to, how Nightwish selected her, what music she has written, what her inspirations are from for writing music, etc. She is a 30-something year old women who has held a remarkable career background. It's not about "how cool she is" or her shopping hobbies, or anything else. I'm pretty sure that after all the problems the band got from the Diva's Complex of Tarja, the band selected a nice person to work with.
BUT THAT'S NOT THE POINT!
Nightwish was unique forr having such an opera vocalist, and was with that combination of power metal + lyric singing that they becamme famous.
When I listen to Anette, I got the same feeling of a karaoke drunk session with friends...

I listened to two albums you mentioned, and I could find only four songs which I can hardly definy beautiful... don't know why, maybe 'cause I was fond of her "nightwish time"... Don't misunderstand me, I don't miss Tarja, and I'm sure Anette will do her best in the future and Tuomas won't lose his creativity!

#20 is not a fact but an opinion. With that said, I think the album "Dark Passion Play" is there best album. I like Anette and Tarja both. I don't care for how Anette sounds with some of the old Nightwish songs but I think Tarja would not sound good with the new songs.

Well, I must confess that I belonged to the ones who first were shocked bout Tuomas´ choice of Anette. But the more I listen to her, the more I like her.
She´s no Tarja and never will be. But who cares. Tarja´s not out of bizz.
Anette does better, the more time she spends with the NW-sound. And hell yeah, I look forward to the new album.
BTW, nice clip. She´s a beautiful person and seems to get more comfortable with her status as NW´s voice.
