this phone would be a lot better if it wasn't so ugly looking, but other than that it seems like a pretty cool phone, i rather have the HTC hero from sprint though, and im getting it tomorrow XD
Well I suppose it's a matter of taste - but I like the design a lot.
Enjoy your Hero with smaller and lower resolution screen (480x320 instead of 800x480), older version of Android (1.5 instead of 2.0) slower processor, no hardware keyboard, no flash, no Google Navigation :)
yeah it has 1.5 but with the htc software on top of andriod its not a big deal, you have more screens, and its not slow, i use it like crazy and its really good with its speed even though it technically has a slower processor. idc if it doesnt have a hardware keyboard, its easy to use to text and its very accurate. i dont take pictures at night anyways so who cares, plus it has auto focas so if it was really that important to have light i could use light from the street since there is a lot were
i live so what ever, and the sprint navo is good and i dont really need it, i have a gps in the car so w/e. plus if i wanted google navo that badly, i could download it from the app store. I <3 htc and sense ui, and the resolution is a lot better than you think, its the crappy backgrounds you get right off the bat, but id you download backgrounds off market, you get really nice resolution. htc makes good phones so im happy wether you want this phone or not
I never owned an Android device before so I was just checking if that was one of the OS's features. As for EMS, not everyone utilizes this Verizon feature, but saying you don't care is kinda rude. Regardless, was a nice video. Thanks
AWESOME !!!! btw does facebook msn youtube for free or cost ???

The HTC Hero sucks compared to this phone you made a mistake and will pay for the rest of your CONTRACT!

Wrong about it being the first with micro usb and dedicated camera button. The CLIQ has that and it was released before the droid.
McFroger3 2 years ago
True, but the Droid is still the first Android phone with a 800x480 pixel display, and a camera flash.
I forgot about the CLIQ even though I played with it when it was announced at Mobilize - it's an OK phoen but it didn't make a lasting impression.
BTW, the Hero/Eris also features a standard headphones jack.

hey! do we have to get the internet data plan to get the phone activated and stuff like the G1?

Yes, I'm assuming so. Don't know since this is a review unit and came pre-activated.

Hey does this phone double as an ipod and a phone? Oh wait its not an iphone so it doesnt have itunes, so it doesnt fucking pwn!
tnesty 2 years ago
Except you're wrong! It's a perfectly capable media player...
You don't need iTunes to transfer content to it - you can just use USB mass storage and copy music/videos/poscasts over.
Not to mention, it comes with the Amazon MP3 store built-in, just like most other Android phones.

how will u compare it to the iphone 3gs..
machoBaller213 2 years ago
Does it support copy & paste? How Verizon's enhanced messaging service (EMS)?
mixtape86 2 years ago
Of course it copies & pastes! It's running Android... Don't know/care what EMS is.

If EMS in the CDMA world is like MMS in the GSM world, then it supports it.
