There is no reason you can't pull a boat with a small car, I have done it many times with my station wagon and even the tiny hatchback I had before that. People only THINK you need a huge vehicle to tow a boat. And in fact I find a front wheel drive car is much less likely to get stuck than a big rear wheel drive truck because the drive wheels are above the slippery part of the ramp and have the weight of the engine to give them traction. I see alot of that in europe...I wonder if they have float on trailers in Europe? My float on trailer is all aluminum, except the wheel hubs which are stainless, and wheels which are galvanized steel. I guess both are good.
