Hi, the boost gauge came from some WWII era twin engine plane which was supercharged. One pointer is hooked up to show the boost measured before the throttle plate, the other pointer measures the boost after the throttle. I hooked it up this way so I could measure the pressure loss across the butterfly. I eventually installed a 76mm butterfly instead of the stock one which was 65mm which reduced the restriction by about 1.25 psi.
Yes, he is happy. I'm the owner/developer of SDS, and I am also involved in motorsports locally helping run a race series.. I offer to help all local customers whenever possible, so I usually do ride alongs with them to help them out.

dual gauge. 1 needle before the throttle plate, 2nd is the intake. This way you can see pressure drop across the throttle plate, and see if its a restriction at high power.
He was looking at the engine vitals. Making sure there are no problems with over heating, or detonation. Looking at the air & fuel ratio to keep the engine safe from meltdown.
what a nice car i love it!!

No. The car was on a dyno at Tecmotion though. Mostly street tuned with wideband.

Fun car, running on really old hard race slicks.

What is the boost gauge?

I wonder what brand the gauge is that replaced the factory clock? I've tried finding one online but haven't had any luck.
Great video!!

WHat setup are using for the suspension? That's pretty trick how you moved through the infield without barely slowing down.

The egt began lower and continuously slowly climbed all the way down the straight.

The boost gauge is measuring boost taken above and below the throttly butterfly. 1630 is the exhaust gas temperature. (Vipers remain in the mirrors)

sorry man....if me and my dad passed you with our blue 06 viper a few dozen times.

What's with the gauge on the right? Is that a combination manifold pressure gauge and turbo pressure gauge?

Is it just me, or is that a dual needle boost gauge in the car?
