  • There are many similarities between Breton and Gaelic language and even some words are the same (ish) church for eg is almost the same. They are Celtic languages and others are Cornish and Welsh.

  • She is beautiful and she sings magnificent!!as a matter a fact i love Irish-scottish sounds!,she once made a song with Idir vava Inova which was a true success

    I would deffinitly encourage a such cultural brewing!

  • Lovely version of a lovely Gaelic song. Oban Gaelic Choir, and many other choirs, will be singing it at the Mull Mód (aka Scottish Gaelic language, poetry and song contest) on Saturday, 10 September 2011, in Tobermory, Mull. But without any instrumental accompaniments. Come and listen to us at the Aros Hall!

  • Great song

  • Is she singing in english? =)

  • @philoda07 No she is singing in Breton language (North of france)

  • @AlgeriaandEgypt

    It certainly isn't Breton - the language is Scottish Gaelic (Gàidhlig)!

  • @DougGinInsch Hi, You Are Right. However Celtics Have Lived In Breton Territory As Kilt Tartan Patterns Can Tell. Gaëlic Was Spoken Theough Out Every Land Where The Monolith Path Goes Through.

  • She's singing in scottish gaelic (spoken in Scotland) and not in Breton (spoken in west of France). Breton and Gaelic are very different languages, so different a Breton can't understand a Scottish...

  • @AlgeriaandEgypt She is actually singing in Scottish Gaelic or Gaidhlig. Dan ar Braz is indeed Breton, but Karen Matheson is from Scotland.

  • @AlgeriaandEgypt

    I was born north of France by Belgium borders ;

    now I live in BRITTANY IN THE FAR WEST :

    "Pen Ar Bed" in Britton , "Finistère" in French , "end of the earth"

    So take all the things in place :

    yes , celtic ( "keltic" ) languages have connections , Donnal Lunny playing there

    Bouzouki, left of Karen, said once , " there are only different accents " ( scottish , welsh , irish , cornish, britton ) and if you listen languages as a music you find more easily those connections

  • At first I did not detect your English translation so I wrote it down in French and transferred it to the Google translator ... thanksss again
