  • you need the other brake to shoot 700gr , hit me up ill show you on my 500 have both brakes same 4 inch get up

  • 460 is week compared

  • I wish i could one just like that one day. Beautiful peace. Thanks for shearing. Check my epic first videos. Blesses Arek

  • Since u own this pretty firearm would u prefer this over 50 ae desert eagle!?!

  • @simms0022 Hard to say. The S&W packs a bigger punch, but the style and looks of the DE is one of a kind. I think if I wanted an everyday shooter, the S&W would be it. If I wanted a "show off" gun and something to take to the range once in awhile, it would be the DE. Believe me when I say both guns will get attention at the range.

  • can u show us fireing all of your guns ? :)

  • @guitarhero08ful I'm trying to gather up all the video I have and do one video of just all the different guns shooting.

  • 700 grain! as if a stub nose 500 mag isnt enough of a cannon

  • Great review! I missed how much that bad boy weighs?

  • 1000 rounds!? i envy you sir, but i am only 14 so i got some time to get one of those

  • @LeftyFtw69 its worth the wait, trust me.

  • Liked your video, I am going to be purchasing this gun in the next couple months and can't wait to get it.

  • Thank you for your video! Nice GUN, good hobby. I envy so much to you! Our damn russian laws prohibit guns :( *cry*

  • @Antinoob2020 Thank you for taking time to watch and comment!

  • Wow, you sir have an awesome assortment of the finest firearms available.

  • @StrappedPharmer Thank you! Appreciate you taking the time to watch and comment.

  • I am sure you know by now , at cheaper than dirt you can get 350 grain hollow points for 26 bucks for a 20 round box. Mine is an 8 1/2 inch barrel , no compensater , and I wish it had some more recoil however it is super accurate. nice vid man

  • ask bach ive got more cock than smith&wesson!

  • everybody im pretty new to firearms so forgive me if i ask a stupid question lmao but i was interested in purchasing one of these cannons soon but i can't decide which length i want. im leaning towards the 4 but i think the 8 inch will have less recoil or is it the same? mind you that im 6'3 and 265 so i can handle it....or so i been told lmao im still nervous about shooting this baby.

  • @tweezee I would assume that the 8 inch barrel would produce a little less recoil due to it being slightly heavier. You can handle the recoil. Just hold on to it tight, and until you get used to the recoil it produces, allow it to go above your head if it kicks back. That way you don't end up like that girl that shot the .50 AE Desert Eagle. Good Luck.

  • @lygersarereal thanks brother i really appreciate the advice. i was leaning towards the 8 inch becuz a gun dealer told me the same. he also so said i will be able to handle it wit no prob being that im 6'3 and 265 lol im just scary i guess. but i cant wait to shoot that cannon.

  • @tweezee Glad I could help. I'm going to purchase a 500 one of these days as well. The key is to anticipate the recoil, but not to fear it. Just know it's coming, and before long, you won't even recognize it. Good luck bro.

  • @lygersarereal thanks and good luck to you brother....God Bless

  • you fire'd 1,000 rounds through it? Why?

  • @aracefan2001 it was fun

  • @robertjcksn44 I agree 100%. If one thinks that the .500 Smith is a wrist breaker then they should try shooting a 250gr Keith bullet on top of 24grains of 2400 powder from a 4 inch model 29. Not a good load for such a light gun. When I shot the first one, the recoil was so vicious, the cylinder latch ate a hole in my thumb and caused the cylinder to unlock and open. Now, that is a wrist breakin' bastard! I shot the remaining 5 and gave the rest to a friend who used them in a Super Redhawk.

  • I mould and shoot the 375gr. SWC from RCBS and the 440gr. flat nose from Lee on top of 22 and 25 grains of LongShot powder, respectively. The 440gr is a good bullet but, I prefer the 375gr SWC. Six '0 Clock hold at 25 is dead zero...about 1 1/2 to 2 inches high at 50yds and dead zero Six 'O Clock hold at 100yds with this combo from the 4 inch model. Absolutely one of the most accurate production six-guns I've ever shot.

  • that would be nasty for ccw and I mean that in a good way. I would not want to be the criminal on the other side of the barrel; i would probably shit my pants.

  • flits and a dremel with a polishing wheel will take that right out of the cylinder

  • I replaced my rear flimsy adj sight with a rear fixed combat sight. I did a vid on it if your interested. It's from D&L Sports.

  • Does it come in black (blued)

  • @chevyfeen86 Hi, as far as I know, they only come in this brushed chrome finish

  • I also have the 4" s&w 500. built like a tank. Just a note...HSM 500 ammo is 29.99/20 rd at Cabela's. Your choice, 300gr or 350gr. Pretty sweet deal for 500 s&w mag ammo.

    Nice job on the review.

  • 35€ is about 47$ so not so cheap in Finland either =P

And the gun prize is about 1350$ in here....

  • I just bought a 460 and it came with those soot burns on it too after only 40 rounds through it from the other guy otherwise it is pretty much new. I guess that is what 63k PSI will do. HAHA.

  • @Deerslayer2k9 I forgot what solvent I used to remove it, but it all came off without scrubbing. If I find it, I'll let you know because it works like a charm. Thanks for watching!

  • Did you have the Desert Eagle .50AE before you bought this gun? I mean i think the seven rounds of .50 Action Express is more than enough to take down any living creature on this planet and maybe even another planet. Now don't get me wrong i love the S&W .500 and every hand gun enthusiast should have one in their collection but the Desert Eagle would have been enough i think. That is if the 4 inch S&W .500 is heavier than the Desert Eagle.

  • nice i carry one in a shoulder holster as my ccw

  • this gun is great, i have the regular barrel version though. the stub nose one you have there kicks a little too much for me, ill stick with my reg barrel

  • here in finland the cheapest box of 20 rounds (magtech 400gr.) is 35€ so its about 35$ and you can get new .500 about 995€

  • @koukku23 wow, thats really cheap ammo.

  • Great gun, fantastic, if i was an Alaskan Bear, i wouldn´t even look at you. cheers.

  • @oluare lol...thanks for the comment

  • @Chanderson1, Good to hear. I have also had the same issue with some cases kinda over expanding and becoming only slightly more stubborn than most of the spent cases. I would be interested to see what kinda rig (holster/belt) your running with that hawg leg. I bought the standard issue S&W leather belt and holster. I had to take them both to a saddle shop to have the belt doubled and the holster re-done at the belt loop. Thanks for the response.

  • @Chanderson1, Hey I have this same model and I have shot about 200 rounds through mine. I have shot from the low grain to the high end stuff, my question is you said you have shot about 1000 rounds through yours, have you had any lock up or timing problems? I have not had any problems yet, just wondering.

  • @laughingatyou09 Hi, at the moment its at 1400 rounds without any issues. I've taken it to a certified gunsmith to have him check to see if any parts need to be replaced or adjusted and he told me that this pistol could go another 10,000 rounds easily. Its purposefully built to handle this caliber. My only issue I have ever had was when I go to eject the rounds out of the cylinder, seems like one or two cases have expanded too much and sometimes I have a hard time ejecting them.

  • I've never fired a 4" .500. I'd love to see a range video of this exact gun in action. Great desk top impressions vid!

  • The Tipton magic clean cloth works awesome to remove powder burns with very little effort form the S&W 500. Even after the 700 grain bullets fired from the 4" barrel.

  • im sellin this gun for 100$ stolen as fuck. hmu lol

  • funny people talk about how inaccurate it is. i have not found that to be the case. maybe some people just cant shoot or are scared of the blast...flinching.

  • just out of curiosity, after buying the four inch model, did you ever wish you would have gotten the 8 3/8th inch model or even the 6inch?

  • @MrJohnboy1911 Hi, I haveno regrets on getting the 4" model. Its much more discreet than the longer barrel and much easier to hold on target also.

  • I bet firing this handgun would make shooting all smaller calibers very easy.

  • When shooting for the first time today. I shot an Mk22 then the s&w 500. What a gun! I also shot the casull redhawk alaskan after and it felt like the mk22 compared to th 500. Especialy seeing i used the 450grn crtrges. Not a very acurate gun, but deff makes you look like a pro when you shoot it, even if you miss. lol i shot a .50 cal before a .45 and .38. I went backwards. Lmao .22, .50, .45, .38.

  • @FUSIONchris I've noticed that when I first start out shooting a series of pistols, I always start with the .500. Everything from there on after feels like a pellet gun.

  • @robertjcksn44 for $3000 you could get a full auto mac

  • @saj12100

    In 9mm.

  • @mikeb1444 and .380

  • @saj12100

You can get one from Wal Mart for $35. Guess what it shoots.

  • @noblinger After a thousand rounds, I dont think there was anywhere in this video I was complaining about ammo prices. Listen and pay close attention and you may get somwhere in life.

  • rsiuhfei

  • this is probably the most use anyone has got out of a 500 magnum. not cost effective to shoot and most people would say not very fun to shoot. you must enjoy the punishment. i have mad respect though man I want one of these, problem is i want a hundred other guns to lol.

  • @koobsw I've got a friend who has the 8" barrel .500 and I think he has owned it for over 4 years and has only fired less than a box of 20 out of his. I couldnt stand to have a gun like this sit in the safe. Yes the ammo is expensive and I had considered this before purchasing the pistol. Luckily I have started to reload for the .500 and shooting it is considerably cheaper now. Thanks for taking the time to watch!

  • @robertjcksn44 I went and picked up a reloading set for this. Now it comes out to about .65 cents a round, way better than what I was paying before.

  • This is a good gun to kill a muslim with.

  • @koobsw

    Hick

  • @noblinger hardly

  • @BrainRemovalD3vice

    you suck racist fuctard

  • I have heard of bears being found with old 9mm and .38 rounds in them which clearly weren't fatal. I doubt there will be many bears ever found with anything other than fresh .500 hollow point rounds in them.

  • I was watching this this thing what the fuck is that brute FOR. Then you explained perfectly. If I was going near bears - but not going after bears - especially really big bears, I'd want something small that packed a huge punch. I can't see any other use for it though. Of course it will do other jobs, just as a 4lb lump hammer could drive in a small tack but it seems it is only ideal for one task, and no doubt you hope you never have to find out how effective it would be.

  • if you shoot a bear in the head with it will it die looll

  • @r33skyline4life Hopefully I'll never have to find that out, but I'm pretty sure it will give the bear quite a headache.

  • how many rounds to stop a raging grizzly bear. Can you do a quick follow up shots ?

you think in bear territory long barrel version is better ?

  • @ikonik69 Hi, follow up shots can be done with a little practice and the right round. I chose the shorter barrel as it is easier to carry as a sidearm through the woods.

  • nice! built in muzzle brake!!!

  • @rockonmyfriend yes, it has a built in muzzle break. It is very effecient too.

  • more recoil than the full size barrel?

  • @guitarlord247 Actually my friend has the 8 1/4" barrel .500 but unported and mine has much less recoil and muzzle flip than his. Its very controllable and accurate.

  • @chanderson1 awesome,so the ported barrel makes a big difference?

  • @guitarlord247 The porting on this pistol is extremely effecient! S&W really did a great job in the design of the ports.

  • thts the smaller version of the saw .500 mag 3inch barrle how the fuck r u sposed ta shoot dat?

  • and this my freinds is the most powerfulest pistol in the universe

  • That's a man's gun !!!

Just the sound of the shot

    sends the bad guys running!

  • @thrityyearsold Not even the sound, you just have to point it in their general direction and they run.

  • is it really a .500 caliber?

  • @wesclev83 The diameter of the bullet is .500

  • @chanderson1 Thats fucking huge!

  • @wesclev83 LOL! yes it is. 1/2" diameter bullet travelling at over 1700 fps packs quite a punch.

  • ima get a deagle 1st then this i wannatry something with less kick 1st and see where my ground is im 6'' bt not very big but ill where a helmet 1st time get thi so i dont end up broken 1st time with a hgh aliber

  • @warduckythe1st IMO, you really shouldn't get a high-caliber handgun for your first gun, get a 9mm, .45, or .40 or something more manageable and reasonable. By your use of the word "deagle," I'm guessing you get most of your knowledge of firearms from video games. Go read up on real guns, and you should probably go actually shoot one just to instill in your mind that real life is very different from Call of Duty.

  • @AlmightyShiz no no dude i hate cod and idc about video games and the reason i call it deagle is bcuz i dont really care to say *Desert Eagle i have shot many guns before but havent owned many highest ive shot is .44 mag and 12.ga but my favorite is the m4

  • @XenoChrist94 GOT MY GLOCK 17 9MM I THINK I WILL STICK TO THAT LOL SHIT 14 DOLLARS FOR HOW MANY ROUNDS!!!!!

  • @thebearjewkiller1976 I'ld imagine you'ld only shoot a couple rounds at the range at a time just to get a feel of it and use the 9mm for general practice. I'ld imagine a few round and the cost of your gun is worth not being eaten by a grizzly.

  • @mojothemigo WELL WITH MY TIME IN MONTANA I LEARNED REALLY QUICKLY THAT MOST OF THE TIME YOU WILL BE LUCKY TO HAVE TIME TO DRAW THAT WEAPON AND EVEN IF YOU DID AND YOU GOT EVEN A COUPLE SHOTS OUT WELL LOL MORE THAN LIKELY THAT BEAR WILL STILL GET A HOLD OF YOU AND NOW IT WILL BE PISSED LOL I AM SURE IT WOULD DIE BUT NOT RIGHT AWAY ANYWAYS GOOD LUCKY TO YA AND HAVE FUN

  • @thebearjewkiller1976 You should shoot the 500 before you speak. If you're going to stop a bear at close range at all, this is the gun that will do it. I live in Wyoming and fish in Glacier Park. This is on my chest behind my waders and I have confidence I can save myself or someone else in trouble.

  • so five shots only eh? i think my 44 Mag with 210 Gr Silver Tip Hollowpoints is much better at a gun fight.

  • S&W .500 Magnum. For when overkill just doesn't quite cut it.

  • is there just more recoil from 700 grainers or does it hurt the gun?

  • @saj12100 More recoil and pressures. It doesnt hurt the gun, but it is intended to be used on the 8" barrels.

  • @chanderson1 ok tnanks.

  • how much would it cost to shoot 5 rounds out of that gun?

  • @sniper11235 Good quality rounds will cost about $14 to shoot 5 rounds.

  • @chanderson1 Damn. All my life ive wanted a revolver. Im turning 18 very soon and il probably still buy this but not shoot it too much.

  • @sniper11235 Its quite the first revolver, but I'm sure you love it the first time you shoot it

  • y would u want one of those, the amoo is to expensive

  • @superdeath1997 good question. I've been reloading alot since this video and it's helped out quite a bit on shooting expenses.

  • @superdeath1997 like he said its real fun to shot. why would you buy a corvett if its so expensive? cuz there fun to drive!!!

  • @ESKgraffwriterBreC EXACTLY. I've found that generally, the folks saying "why would even WANT to own the new ZR1's, the gas mileage is TERRIBLE!" are the same ones that are tossing fries at McDonalds and going to work in an AMC Matador or $500 Hyundai with a primer front fender.

  • @superdeath1997 Its not very expensive at all to shoot if you reload. I figured if I could afford the grand to buy it, I could certainly budget enough to take it to the range - even without reloading. If you find fault with the gun and assert "y would u want one of those?" Then, why did you come here to look at the video, much less comment on it? It is sour grapes because you can't afford one so you shit on everyone else that does? Just curious.

  • @flapsdwn yupp

  • that cylinder looks way too small to be a 500 and really the overall gun does

  • @IIGOLGOTHAII Believe me, its a .500.

  • @IIGOLGOTHAII Thats funny... looks EXACTLY like my S&W MOD 500 except mine has the 8 3/8th barrell. The shorter barrell is a little decieving, however. You might want to visit your local gun shops and hold one or something. There are dozens of features on this handgun that clearly show it to be a Mod 500. I understand you saying the overall gun might (?) look "way to small," not small but WAY too small? but why the cylinder? Ever fire the Mod 500? Regards.

  • @flapsdwn yes i actually owned one in the 8 3/8 inch model, i dont know just the gun looks more towards a .44 than a 500, i know it is a 500 because they have traits that other guns dont, he must just have big hands lol.

  • 700 grain in a handgun?! Wow! That is ridiculously unnecessary! Then again if this is your carry weapon and you wip it out with 700 grain rounds, that criminal will crap himself faster than a heartbeat! lol!

  • @wafflePWNAGE22 LOL! Yeah no doubt. It's really not recommended to shoot the 700 gr hardcasts out of the 4" version though.

  • @chanderson1 Definitely! However I don't think the longer version has a compensator like the four inch. And compared to something like a desert eagle, would the kick be substantially lower or other wise with the lower grain rounds in this weapon?

  • @wafflePWNAGE22 Hi, they do make a compensated 8 1/4" barrel with Hi-Viz sights. I've shot Winchester 300 gr. low recoil rounds out of mine and there is less recoil than .44 magnum. The usual round I should are the Hornady 350 gr hollow points and those are quite noticeably more recoil. The biggest round I've shot were the Cor-Bon 440 and it's quite fun. Much more recoil with this round compared to the highest 325 gr Gold Dots out of the DE.

  • @chanderson1 Oh, okay then thanks! Didn't know that. However this beast would break my wrists with 700 grains. Well thanks for the info!

  • @wafflePWNAGE22 Of all my friends and colleagues that own the Mod 500, I'm not aware of any of them (myself included) that use it as a carry-gun. Mine is locked in the safe when not at the range. My day in day out carry-piece is a Glock mod 21C w/ a Surefire and also a Keltec .380 dropped in my front pocket as a back-up. I have some 330g bullets and also some 500 g but I've never fired the 700g.

  • @flapsdwn Some people are crazy enough to use the M500 for carrying purposes. My friend usually carries either the M500 or the Desert Eagle in .50 AE. Strange yet some people do ridiculous things like that, I can't give an explanation for his carry choices.

  • @wafflePWNAGE22 Yepper. I have no doubt that if an RPG was legal as a carry-piece, some folks would choose to. I must admit, after a couple hours at the range with my heavy artillary, I'm whipped. I can't imagine the 'ol girl in a shoulder holster. When I originally bought it and they were asking me if I wanted to purchase ammo, etc, I deadpanned "no ammo, but I DO need an Uncle Mike's in-the-pants holster. They definitely looked at me funny (no, I didnt really want that holster). Regards.

  • 1000 rounds???!?!?!?

  • @Stompajiggayo yes! and now roughly at 1600 rnds, mostly hand loaded ammunition currently.

  • i used a lead removing cloth on my 500 and it took the burn marks off the cylinder pretty well :)

  • @disturbedfan93 I've tried the lead removing pads with no luck. What brand are you using? Maybe I just used an inferior brand.

  • @chanderson1 i used birchwood casey, picked them up at Dick's Sporting Goods :)

  • if i get one of these it wouldnt be the short barrel cause id get it for hunting

  • i will give you 500 for it

  • Great review. Eventually I hope to get one of these but with the longer barrel. Thanks for linking the ammo video too because I've been looking for a video like that for a while. :)

  • I'm happy it helped you out. Your gonna love the .500 and with the longer barrel, you should see some more velocity too!

  • wow, 1000 round? money!

  • Yeah it is. I've started to load my own now with the spent brass. Its a lot of fun plus it saves me quite a bit of money.

  • @chanderson1 yea thats why i bought a .22 HA

  • I think a dessert eagle in 44 mag would be a good bear gun.

You should relaod your own ammo, its cheaper than buying factory loads

  • your probably right.

  • you should consider reloading your own ammo.

  • I have been reloading my .500 rounds finally since I received all the dies for my press.

  • I pity the man who is starring down the barrel of one of those. That right there is hell on earth. On the contrary, who would want to use that on a person anyway?

  • It would be a horrible thing if this was used on a person.. I use this as a anti-bear gun when I go on my annual fishing trip in Alaska.

  • Use Flitz metal polish to remove that powder burn from the cylinder. The 460 S&W is a better choice because you can shoot the 45 Colt,454 Casull.Hearing damage is a major problem with these guns, always have hearing protection.

  • Hi, i've tried Flitz and it didnt work. Not too much of a worry since its an actual gun I use alot. Yeah the 460 you have more options, but I just wanted the biggest caliber S&W made. Any gun you shoot you should always be wearing ear/eye protection. The .500 will make your ears bleed if you dont.

  • @chanderson1

but if you outside walking and you get robbed ?? you are first going to put your ear/eye protection?

  • nobody would be stupid enough to carry this as their primary concealed carry firearm. Just too big and bulky. I have other pistols that are far more reasonable for use as my ccw.

  • I am talking about at the range. You should always need ear and eye protection. I could care less if I lose my hearing trying to protect my life.

  • @RoyalAlba1

ok now i understand you ^^ sorry that i bother you

  • @RoyalAlba1 Obviously, "you're walking outside and get robbed and putting your hearing protection on" is a moot point. (A) The vast majority of Mod 500 owners don't use it for personal protection. (B) having someone rub or carjack you makes ringing ears the least of your problems. You took the earlier statement out of context and you know it. Any RANGE use of ANY weapon requires ear/eye protection. Semantics, anyone?

  • Comment removed

  • Awesome. That gun would scare any animal to death,,, even if it was already dead and in a can. Just throwing it at a bear would probably scare it off.

  • Hahaha, good one! Luckily I've not had to use it against anything trying to steal my fish and I'm hoping I wont ever have to. I usually carry it when I go on an annual fishing trip on the kenai river in Alaska, where there is huge populations of brown bears. The other time I use it is to scare the newbies at the range. Appreciate your comment!

  • lol,,, Now you see I have this image of you pistol-whipping a Brown bear that is trying to steal a fish.

  • Awsome vid!. Keep it up.

  • Thanks, glad you liked it!

  • Excellent video demo and information. have you fired the weapon from a hip firing position with one hand. Several Law Enforcement Agencies have numerous positions for qualification; hip shooting one hand, one hand-weak and strong hand shooting, and up to 15 yeards distance. Just curious how difficult this would be to qualify with.

  • Hi, even with light rounds (350gr) ammo, it would be very difficult. The gun recoils quite a bit. With light rounds it is very comparable to the 44mag with hot loads. I'm sure it could be done, but not accurately and you wouldnt want to repeat it again from that position. I've shot one handed with 440 corbons and its not bad, but never from the hip. Also I would worry about the gases from the porting of the barrel too, I think it would tear open a shirt and burn your belly!!

  • @bikecopjoe Joe, I seriously doubt most agencies would allow you to carry/qualify with the Mod 500 because it would be virtually impossible to lawyer-proof its use in a LE scenario. The .50 BMG could be justified in a SWAT/SAR scenario perhaps... however, the .50 AM or the .50 mag would be a bit more problematic. Even aside agency politics, the state POST regs might also preclude it's use. Regards, Sir.

  • Nice video and very informative. I just bought the same gun the other day. Haven't taken it to the range yet, but I'm planning on using the Winchester 350 grain "low recoil" for starters to get a feel for it. Anyways, nice gun!!!

  • thanks! those rounds are a perfect choice for a new shooter to this revolver. Those winchesters are a nice clean and very low recoil round. I found those very easy to control and easy to introduce new people to the gun. After though, you will want some more kick or punch this gun...isnt it the reason you bought it for? Anyways, the corbon 440s are what you want to hunt with, but if you want more, then the 525 gr magtechs! those are way fun to shoot! thanks for the comment!

  • Thanks for the info.

  • I wonder what that gun could do to a president's face.

  • i wonder what it would do to your face.

  • even if you only saved $10 a box thats $500 that you would save if you shoot 1000 rds a year. that would be enough to get you handloading.

  • so on the super premium side youll have $40 a box invested. on the cast performance hard cast side youll have $26.40 a box invested. if you already have the brass then subtract 11 dollars a box. so at like you say 47 dollars a box you could potentially save over 30 bucks a box of 20. and the cast performance hard cast bullets you can get from 350 grain up to 500 grain, and are a hard hitting hunting bullet. dont discount them because they arent jacketed!!

  • also, on the price of ammo, handload!!! reloading equipment will start paying you back first time you use it. especially with the 500. bullets range from $.60 apiece for cast performance lead hard cast gas checks to $1.25 for the barnes xpb's. Powder will cost you about $.14 a round, primers will be $.03, and brass is about $.55 a round if you have to buy it, and thats starline brass too.

  • Hi thanks for all the good info. I have started handloads now. I just wanted to be more informed so I started doing research and reading reloading manuals. It was all new to me, but now I'm more confident. I just did not want to make a mistake or be misinformed on this information. I've loaded over 400 rounds already with great results.

  • nice video but rehearse your what you are going to say before it is slightly annoying

  • Yes, maybe i understand what your saying, but I hate to rehearse anything.. I hope you understand..thanks for the comment

  • so badass

  • *Sniff, sniff* It's beautiful. But $1,000 for a gun (plus ammo)? Still, it looks like it's worth it.

  • hahaha..yes it is quite a chunk of money to put on a gun, especially a revolver, but its nice to own and it is actually practical in many ways. The ammo is the downside of owning this, but I've already started reloading.

  • thats the problem with stainless steel they show the bunt powder try some hoppers bore cleaner i found it takes some of that off but not all off it,

it does dull the burnt powder marks down some

  • That sounds like a good idea. Yeah, it is difficult to remove the residue after a thousand rounds I just noticing it more difficult to remove. thanks for the comment!

  • @66kmac dont waste your time with bore cleaner anymore. lead remover cloths are much better. i have a 460 smith and it takes all the residue off the stainless even after 60 rounds or so without cleaning.

  • call BALLISTIC SUPPLY they make premium rounds for a good price, better than cheaperthandirt. their number is (507)766-5709 or go to their website.
