...No not at all. The mechanics differ a LOT from game to game.
For SSB, look up matches by Isai, you'll see he combos his opponents from 0 to death, 90% of them being inescapable. This is because in SSB, there was a lot of hit stun from moves, meaning when you got hit, it took you a long time to recover. In SSBM, they decreased the hit stun but there are still many plausible combos, but in SSBB, hit stun is reduced to practically none.

Hmm, actually I wouldn't know. My guess is it's a percentage glitch (because you can't choose when to throw someone, it's automatic if you press one direction); the designers probably programmed the game so throws would send a person flying a certain direction, but didn't account for throws performed at high percents, so the direction of the throw changes.
Check with Smashboards or All is Brawl forums, I'm sure people would know there.

that wasn't bad but that wasn't all that good either. alot of your bat ko's were just mistakes by your opponent i mean there was one at 42 sec when the lucas just jumped straight at you when you were charging and didn't even attack. usually both of yall woulda got hit and he woulda died and you woulda took damage but he didn't even try to attack. at 1:03 the wolf coulda edge grabbed but fell right next to you instead. i love your aerial pk fire skills but fight better people next time

Actually, Ness and Lucas's PK Thunder last for the same amount of time. The main differences involve the speed, distance, and how the attack deals damage to foes.

Though, I must agree with him when I say that this video doesn't have any real combos. Maybe you could call it a "highlight reel" or something of the sort, but the KOs were at pretty high %s and the opponents really didn't attack back too much.
Because lots of people can just toss out combos on a stationary opponent. But combos are only useful in actual battle; application is key, and I assume you'd want to show off your skill as a player.

It should be pretty obvious what my reason for posting this video is; which is to entertain. The reason it's obvious is because there's lots of people commenting, saying things like: "LOL AT 1:37" and "Ness OWNS LUCAS" and "Ouu I love Ness and I love Muse!"
Other people liked it, others hated, and I still kept it up because there wasn't a lot of videos up of Ness
Stockholm Syndrone - Muse is going to be another song for me to add to my list of favorite songs. You play Ness very similar to me, except I seem to "Yo-yo tech" more often, and you're on a higher level of PK Thunder craftiness. I respect that. :D
I have a question, do you use PK Flash every once in a while? Since I main Toon Link and Ness, it just doesn't feel right for me to ignore PK Flash. But I simply love this vid!

Yeah, quite true, well I'm experimenting using Ness's up throw to a PK Flash, it only works at low percentages though. I'm getting quite good at meteor smashes. I thank you for the explanation, and jkshoujk for this video. :)
commenting the info, PKT2 (PK Cannonball or whatever it is) is the best launching move in the game. PK Thunder by itself gets REALLY annoying and fast. Also, it's extremely easy to dodge if the other person is smart.
I believe he's referring to PKT/PKT2 as a whole. Ness's PKT isn't as useful as Lucas's (Ness's PKT2 is far superior, though), but it does have some nice properties. It's very fast and maneuverable, and it can gimp some recoveries (like Wolf) if you use the tailwhip well. Avoiding the tail isn't very easy to do, and it stuns long enough to combo into the head of PKT or even yourself. You can't reflect the tail, either.
Oh, and I'm also willing to extend praise to Simna if need be.
your pretty confident with the b up recoveries. whenever i try i always get nervous and it flys right past me. kind of annoying. i also learned how powerful ness' headbutt really is. it works well in yo yo combos
PK Thunder is the best move in the game, seriously - low percent kills and unlimited mindgame potential beat all. Great video. Simna would be proud, good sir.
I really don't understand why everyone says simna is so great but that's probably because I've never seen any good Brawl matches of him. I only saw his matches of Melee and Melee didn't take much actual skill at all.
Saying that Melee does not take "much actual skill at all" is a big PHAIL on your part, sir.
Melee took an abundance of skill (if you played in high ranks and competitively, that is); ranging from technical skill to mindgames/predictions. My view point is Melee takes more skill than Brawl, but of course, many are free to disagree.
Brawl on the other hand, has been created with many more defensive options, and much less offensive options, making the game focused on predictions to win.
Having that said, the only matches uploaded of Simna's BRAWL Ness are horrible ones that were captured within a month of the games release, so NO ONE was actually any good.
Also, since I've stated my view point - that Melee takes more skill that Brawl - I can now point out that Simna was actually pretty high in Melee rankings. I've seen him fare quit well against the world's best such as SS, Tang, and many others.
This video told me to "MAIN NESS MAIN NESS" and I did ^^ I'm pretty decent with him. But Im not as good as you are. Need to work on the PKT mind games ;D
Alright... so I've waited 20 minutes, and I have it all recorded on camera (15 minutes of waiting in the Brawl WiFi Lobby, and 5 minutes of dancing - yes dancing - with SNAKE in the Practice Room). You're good. Try a PK Pulse instead of chasing an enemy above you. Make sure there is ground though because you go into freefall.

Yeah, quite true, well I'm experimenting using Ness's up throw to a PK Flash, it only works at low percentages though. I'm getting quite good at meteor smashes. I thank you for the explanation, and jkshoujk for this video. :)

commenting the info, PKT2 (PK Cannonball or whatever it is) is the best launching move in the game. PK Thunder by itself gets REALLY annoying and fast. Also, it's extremely easy to dodge if the other person is smart.

I believe he's referring to PKT/PKT2 as a whole. Ness's PKT isn't as useful as Lucas's (Ness's PKT2 is far superior, though), but it does have some nice properties. It's very fast and maneuverable, and it can gimp some recoveries (like Wolf) if you use the tailwhip well. Avoiding the tail isn't very easy to do, and it stuns long enough to combo into the head of PKT or even yourself. You can't reflect the tail, either.
Oh, and I'm also willing to extend praise to Simna if need be.

your pretty confident with the b up recoveries. whenever i try i always get nervous and it flys right past me. kind of annoying. i also learned how powerful ness' headbutt really is. it works well in yo yo combos

PK Thunder is the best move in the game, seriously - low percent kills and unlimited mindgame potential beat all. Great video. Simna would be proud, good sir.

I really don't understand why everyone says simna is so great but that's probably because I've never seen any good Brawl matches of him. I only saw his matches of Melee and Melee didn't take much actual skill at all.

Saying that Melee does not take "much actual skill at all" is a big PHAIL on your part, sir.
Melee took an abundance of skill (if you played in high ranks and competitively, that is); ranging from technical skill to mindgames/predictions. My view point is Melee takes more skill than Brawl, but of course, many are free to disagree.
Brawl on the other hand, has been created with many more defensive options, and much less offensive options, making the game focused on predictions to win.

Having that said, the only matches uploaded of Simna's BRAWL Ness are horrible ones that were captured within a month of the games release, so NO ONE was actually any good.
Also, since I've stated my view point - that Melee takes more skill that Brawl - I can now point out that Simna was actually pretty high in Melee rankings. I've seen him fare quit well against the world's best such as SS, Tang, and many others.

It's called mindgames + slow reflexes.
Also, notice the quotes around "Combo", which makes the term much looser.
In addition, look at the description :" I REALIZE THAT A LOT OF THESE AREN'T COMBOS. JEEZ."

Alright... so I've waited 20 minutes, and I have it all recorded on camera (15 minutes of waiting in the Brawl WiFi Lobby, and 5 minutes of dancing - yes dancing - with SNAKE in the Practice Room). I'm fed up; I WILL NOT wait more than 20 minutes for a fight with a cocky player. You have just missed your chance to prove yourself.

Well I don't usually play on WiFi because of lag on BOTH sides. I've lagged in games so much that I've Fsmashed a Sonic with Ike lots of times and similar has happened to me. The FC in the beginning is so everyone stops asking.
